I tend to have a pretty hands-off approach to guests, I like to meet and say hello to my guests and I'm always here to answer questions and make recommendations, but otherwise I like to let you enjoy your stay in peace and your own rythym.
The neighborhood is very international with a Russian Deli, Asian Grocery Store, Argentinian Tango School, NW Bottle Shop, Historic Theatre Venue and several cafes and restaurants all within walking distince it is quickly becoming one of Portland's most ecclectic neighborhoods.
The #14 (Hawthorne District) and the #17 (Downtown) Buslines both pick up within a block of my house. The #14 also takes you to the Max Train Redline direct to PDX International Airport.

Great place to stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Cute, quiet, affordable, unique and cozy cabin! I enjoyed my stay. Wisteria was great and very communicative.
We (Craig & I) spent 2 nights at Wisteria's backyard cottage this past weekend. It was all we wanted and needed - absolutely loved it! Wisteria was a great hands-off host (didn't see her once), but she kept in touch via phone and text. The cottage was equipped with clean everything - from pots and pans to sheets and towels. And, I know Craig thoroughly enjoyed his Egyptian licorice tea. The loft space where we slept was comfortable and had higher ceiling than I expected. We had no problems with heat either; the space heater was enough to heat both the downstairs and upstairs. Not only was the cottage amazing, the location was quite central. We drove from California, so we had a car, but we enjoyed walking to a few places from Wisteria's cottage: Red Castle Games (we love board games!), Pieper Cafe (cute place for coffee and breakfast), and N.W.I.P.A. (beer tasters and oysters, yumm). Would love to stay here again the next time I/we are in Portland!
Great fast communication, easy to book with adorable, comfortable space. Absolutely perfect for the night!
When we arrived late at night we were pleasantly surprised to find the heat on in our cozy cottage. Also pleased to find that the reviews we read had not exaggerated the amenities when we found coffee ready to brew and cream in the fridge. (Also some OJ). Disappointed that we didn't meet Wisteria, but she had provided everything we needed and answered all of our questions. We would live to stay here again.
This cottage has everything, is clean and quiet. Easy access to local public transportation. Wisteria is very communicative, pleasant, attentive, and unobtrusive. I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again and again. Thank you.
Great place. THANKS!
The kitchen was well equipped, with everything at my fingertips, right down to a coffee press! The neighborhood was friendly and quiet.
The bed was super-comfy with the coziest of sleeping lofts. We loved looking out the window to the trees without even getting out of bed!
There are multiple bus lines nearby for ease in getting around. we loved that there was a game store, as in Chutes and Ladders and Warhammer, nearby. We bought a set of black dice with gold dots, but the red ones were tempting, too!
We enjoyed the space, the neighborhood, and our quiet little hideaway tucked away in Wisteria's back yard.
This house was perfect for us! super cozy and extremely clean, Wisteria was an amazing host as well! Would not hesitate to stay here again!
Very cute guest house. We stayed three nights, and the place was very quiet, clean, and offered an additional loft space for sleeping. Be prepared, though, to have access to a car as it's not exactly close to any of the major sights. Otherwise, very nice stay.
