The neighborhood

The house is in an historical neighborhood of fishermen, in front of a small harbor fully renovated. Nearby there is the characteristic fish market of "Lungomare Caboto" and the historical "Via Indipendenza" with lots of small activities: restaurants, fish shops and delicatessen with local genuine food like "buffalo milk mozzarella" and "tiella".

Getting around

The studio flat is at 3km to the beaches of Serapo, Fontania, Ariana, and from the old town "Gaeta medievale" where all the night life happens. Always at 3 km there is "Vindicio" beach where you can do windsurf in the afternoon.
If you don't have a car you can do anything by public bus.

Welcome was easy as the hosts father spoke English. The appartment looked attractive and correponded very well with description and the photos. The appartment was easy to live in as it was very well equiped. The main negative is the location so close to a very busy through road resulting in a very high noise level till late at night. For this reason we would not stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were picked up at the train station and brought safely home. We were provided a map and a very clear description of how to get around the neighborhood and the downtown Gaeta area. Apartment was just what we were looking for and was very private for us which was perfect!

We had a nice stay in Gaeta in the apartment of Stefano. A friendly welcome, a clean place, and a nice town. You can get your breakfast and coffee just a few meters away from the apartment. We had underestimated the noise of the traffic in front of the apartment but we enjoyed our stay nevertheless.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stefano's place in Gaeta. The apartment was very clean and tidy and Stefano's dad Salvatore picked us up and took us back to the station (thank you!). The disadvantages (the apartment is located right next to a busy road and the insulation is not perfect so it was hard to keep the whole place warm at this time of the year) were definitely compensated by the hospitality of Stefano's parents and the love for detail and great taste of the interior decoration...

Great apartment on walking distance from Trastevere. San Pietro just one stop by train. Some good Italian restaurants in the area. The best one -quatro venti- is just in front of the apartment. Much cheaper and better then the so called special restaurants in Trastevere. The only thing we missed was a breakfast, that doesn't come with the apartment. But at the end of the street there is a nice bakery to choose you own breakfast.

We felt welcome an the neighbourhood was quiet during the day but very lively at night! Everything closes during the day for three hours but livens up later in the day. The place was clean, modern and lovely and cool!
