Casería del Carmen is an Andalusian farmhouse (300 m2) dating from the 18thcentury at the foot of Sierra Nevada, in the Costa Tropical of Granada, southern Spain.
7 min from the beach and the nearest cities are around an hour away: 60 min. from Granada, 50 min. from Almería  and 90 min from Malaga.

Spacious home to enjoy vacations for families or large groups. 11x3m private pool -open from April 1st to October 31st-. Wifi in and out door.

The space
Its location and privileged climate, offers to visitors the enjoyment of the Mediterranean sea and the sun having the best conditions and attractions to enjoy a great vacation. 320 days of sunshine per year and very mild winters. It has restaurants (in an area of 45 min driving), banks, supermarkets, post office, shops and tapas bars.

It has three nearby airports: Almeria, Granada and Malaga.

Probably it was originated with the romans, reaching its peak in the Arab-Andalusian period. Albuñol has a population of 6,800 inhabitants and is a maritime and agricultural town since the distance to the tourist beach La Rábita is 6 km. and a little bit further you can find hidden coves and beaches Rijana beach and the naturist El Ruso.

For hiking enthusiasts there are several routes from the village, as the route of Cerro del Gato, Meigámez route and the Angosturas which leads to the Cueva de los Murciélagos (the Bat Cave), dating from the Neolithic period.

For lovers of cycling routes are Haza del Lino, Sorvilán, the Cortijo el Collado, the Contraviesa, Lújar and Sierra also the route bordering the Mediterranean. All with spectacular views.

The typical cuisine of the town has the influence of the Sierra culinary culture: the sausages and black pudding, goat with garlic, migas with fish, dried octopus or seafood rice among others. Their desserts are Moorish origin, such as French toast, fried milk fritters ... that will delight among gourmands. Also you can sample some delicious local wines, under the name "Vino de la Tierra" in the area of the Contraviesa, Torvizcón, Cádiar, Albondón and Albuñol among others and you can visit the wineries where modernity and tradition are combined.

The holidays in Albuñol are:

March 17 St. Patrick, the patron of the town.
April 25 San Marcos, a pilgrimage is made from the Hermitage of San Marcos to Albuñol, where a popular food is made
June 23, San Juan, with lit bonfires on the beach Rábita and moragas of sardines.
Summer Fair, the first weekend of August with popular verbenas.
30 October to 1 November, Cattle Fair with traditional buying and selling of livestock, with verbena and popular fair.

Description farmhouse:

It has an area of 300 m2. It has two floors and an attic above which gives access to a large terrace. It has a large entrance hall, a large kitchen with all the equipment oficce: washer, dryer, oven, microwave and full kitchen. 4 double bedrooms and 2 with an extra bed /two beds, 4 bathrooms, office and two lounges, one with fireplace. Rooms with wooden beams and high ceilings. Private pool of 3x11 m (10x36 feet). surrounded by green grass, wood chairs, bathroom and an independent estate.
Wifi and parking for one car inside a garage and more parking spots outside the house. Fire extinguishers on both floors.

The services included are: free internet, electricity, household linen, table and pool towels. Air conditioning in all the rooms. Basic services for bathroom (shampoo, gel...).

Smoking inside the house and no pets are not allowed.

The house is in an old family farm complex and you may find neighbours but you have exclusive use of the amazing pool area.

It is a rural environment, as Albuñol is a mainly agricultural village with greenhouse crops. The farmhouse environment is especially careful to enjoy quiet.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house, pool and gardens. The whole pool area and gardens are private. The yard in front of the house isn't completely private as the house is part of a larger building structure.

Other things to note
- Wifi available also at the pool area.
- We are taking all additional cleaning and disinfection measures recommended by the authorities for rural tourist accommodation. Additionally, there will be at least one day between reserves to be able to exhaustively apply all the recommended hygienic measures. Cleaning and disinfection is carried out by a specialized company.

Albuñol, Andalucía, Spain

Wonderful Andalusian farmhouse at 1 km from the city of Albuñol and at 6km from the beach. It is in a peaceful and natural environment. It has over 4000 m2 of private natural area with fruit trees and a small lake with fish. It is very close to the very interesting enclaves as the region of the Alpujarra, the natural area of Cabo de Gata or the cities of Granada, Almeria and Malaga to which can be reached in about an hour by highway. The private pool of 11x3 m, has a 1.45m deep and wifi (from 1 April to 31 October) . Please contact me for any question.
