Nestled atop some of the largest trees in the West Village, our two bedroom apartment sticks out looking over the coveted gardens of some of the luckiest property holders in New York City. Our address is on the quiet and tree-covered Morton Street, but walk into our apartment and we face south towards the back of a beautiful strip of historic row-townhouses on St. Luke's Place. The eight windows in our apartment face three directions letting in the sun's light at all times of the day. We have no adjacent neighbors -- hence, it feels like you are actually living in a treehouse.
We're lucky enough to have a kitchen separate from the rest of the apartment, one of the biggest we've seen in NYC. It has allowed us to cook a lot of great meals - if you are looking to stay on a budget, however, there are an ample amount of renowned restaurants, cafes, and bars only steps away.
Recuperate from your New York excursions in our cozy living room with a great selection of coffee table reads, movies from our Apple TV, or access to our Netflix account. We have a large couch (comfortably sleeps someone over 6 feet) and an unbelievably comfortable 5 inch thick tempurpedic mattress twin. We found that our guests prefer their sleep on this mattress pad than any air mattress.
The two bedrooms are small and private with extra comfy full beds. Wake up to the sound of birds and views of greenery -- forget about garbage trucks and excess noise, this is one of the greatest places in NYC to provide you with a sound sleep.
Our bathroom is small but has everything you need, our shower has a window overlooking the gardens - the water is immediately hot and our water pressure is superb.
West Village has so much to offer -- historical charm, authentic cuisine, and boutique shopping. For the more active vacationer, take a stroll on the west side highway, only two blocks away, to enjoy the sunset over the Hudson river.
CitiBike, NYC's bike-share program, is conveniently located a block away. Available to rent for $9.60 for unlimited day access.
Carmine Street Pool is only a block away, swim for free in the beautiful and clean public pool shadowed by an 80ft Keith Haring mural. All you need to do is bring a tower and within minutes you can be jumping off the diving board - this is an extremely unusual amenity for New York City - on the hotter days we throw on our swim suits and take a quick dip to cool off.
We are a 10 minute walk from Washington Square Park, SoHo, and Chelsea. Strolls through the historic West Village and Greenwich Village will take you there.
Explore the rest of NYC with the subway located only 5 blocks away from our apartment. Every major subway line is easily accessible taking you wherever you need to go.
We are two design students who have enjoyed taking the time creating an inviting living space that we can come home to after a hard day of work. We travel often, and want to share our home with those looking for a relaxing and comfortable place to unwind after their travels through our energetic city.

The apartment was exactly as described - super quiet and peaceful, and artfully hip, though a wee bit cluttered :) Definitely feels like someone's home, not a generic vacation rental. Matt was super nice, helpful and responsive. By far the best experience I've had to date with this kind of thing, would definitely rent again next time. Beats a hotel any day.
Our stay in this apt was wonderful! It is really quiet, the neighborhood is beautiful and the location is perfect (not to far from the most important subway lines). Matt + Allie were easy to contact, always kind and available..
Thank you so much!
