Visit Saguaro National Park West

The Space

A quite country home just 3 miles from Saguaro West National Park visitors Center which is a must see! Also near Sonora Desert Museum with raptor shows during the winter months (extraordinary!), many hiking trails in the Tuscon Mountain Park, San Xavier Mission, Old Tucson Western Studio Town and Casino del Sol which had nice restaurants and much more. Just 15 minutes from the Tuscon International Airport and Central Tucson. There is public transportation to this location just up the block. You have a private room at the opposite end of the house from the owner with two full baths to choose from at any time. A private patio to enjoy morning coffee or evening sunsets watching the birds and wildlife of the area. You can take small hikes into the Tucson Mountain Park right from the house. You will enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with a simple breakfast included. If you have an RV there is plenty of parking and a 50 amp power connection. A small fee for the power during hot periods for A/C use. This house has two cooling systems and forced air heating for total comfort during all times of the year. We are blessed in Tucson that most nights cool to around 70 degrees even during the hottest months. Winters are of course the best time in this area from September to the beginning of April. Welcome to Tucson!

  • We had a comfortable private room. Chuck is a fantastic host. He made us feel welcome at all times. He provided valuable information about the area's parks and helped us plan our daily adventures around tucson. He made us a wonderful breakfast each morning and was always a great conversationalist. If you're going to Saguaro West, why would you get a hotel when you could stay with Chuck?

  • Our stay with Charles was very enjoyable. He keeps his home very clean and was very accomodating to our needs. He is a good conversationalist and we had very interesting discussions about a variety of topics.
We found him to be knowledgable about the area and was able to provide us with useful tips for our tour of the area.
We have no qualms in recommending his home for anyone interested in staying in the Tucson ara.

  • We had a wonderful time staying with Chuck during our recent visit to Tucson. His place is near the awesome Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and the Saguaro West Nat'l Park. Chuck had great insight about the area and his tips definitely enhanced our time there. We hope to stay again sometime.

  • The house is a perfect location if you want to visit the National Parks and see the cactus. It wouldn't be an ideal location if you are doing things on the other side of the city because it's a little removed from the center. Charles was a great host and the space was clean, comfortable and cozy. We were so surprised to have a lovely breakfast before leaving the next morning - and he even let us print our boarding passes from his home printer!

  • Charles' place was great. The room was clean and comfy and I had a private bathroom. Perfectly located for me as I was interested in going to Saguaro National Park. As an ecologist I really appreciated that Charles was re-vegetating his land with native plant species and he graciously gave me a walk around. Charles was accommodating in every way, and offered lots of advice on local attractions. He was wealth of knowledge and helped me plan my travels. A great stay, Thanks Charles!

  • I enjoyed my stay with Chuck. He is a thoughtful host, ready to address any request you might have or engage in interesting conversation. The accommodations were very quiet, neat and comfortable. With Chuck one can feel as if staying with a friend as much as a host.

I am happy to highly recommend this listing.

  • Chuck was a delightful host. He offered and did prepare breakfast; coffee and teas were wonderful, fresh fruit available too. His home - the room - was as described. While I thought his home was located further out from downtown Tucson, it was a very short drive with many roads through great scenery. I would stay again!

  • We had a great time staying at Chuck's home. We loved having two bathrooms to use and a comfortable bedroom. Chuck was a very considerate host. We appreciated the breakfasts too. His home is spotless. The location is very convenient to Old Tucson, the Desert Arizona Sonoran Museum, Tucson Mountain Park, and Saguarro National Park.
