Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as you want.
Quiet neighborhood with native vegetation and
a fair amount of wildlife. Birds during the days and sometimes coyotes at night.
There is a city bus stop at the corner and easy access to the city and regional and National Parks.
I only ask that you leave the house and its contents as you found them. Respect the quite of the neighborhood and my neighbors at all times. If you use the kitchen, please clean up and use the dishwasher when required. I have a washer dryer that can be used. See instructions on the wall. C'est tous!
Chuck is a wonderful host - he made us feel welcome in his home immediately and we enjoyed our stay very much. His home is ideally located near the Saguaro National Parkand Desert Museum.
Chuck couldn't have been a better host if he tried. I felt like a member of his family and the location of his home is perfect if you're visiting the Desert Museum.
Chuck is a very friendly and worldly man. He is a gracious host – giving you space when you wanted and yet there if we wanted to talk. He made sure our stay was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights since we were attending a wedding in Tucson, so we came and went at odd hours. He was fine with that. He made us a delicious breakfast each morning checking with us to make sure he prepared something we’d like. There was filtered water always available. The layout of his house gave us privacy and there were 2 bathrooms we could use. He gave us a key to the house and the room, so the room and one bathroom could be locked by us. The descriptions and photos are right on. We would definitely stay with Chuck again.
Charles was a wonderful and generous host! I had an extended stay with him... almost one month and we became fast friends. Charles shared great tips with alternate commute recommendations that radically enhanced my stay. I enjoyed the surrounding cacti in his yard and surrounding areas. Charles was happy to share his knowledge of the cacti. The house and room are clean. I made a recommendation on an improvement on the room and he implemented it the same day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom was attached to the guest room as that was not clear to me when I booked the room. I have gained a new friend and look forward to my next stay. I will surely stay here again when my travels bring me back to Tucson.
Charles has a beautiful and comfortable home which he graciously shared with my friend and me. He is a great conversationalist who seems to really enjoy meeting and talking with people. He even sent us off to the nearby Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum with a full breakfast.
We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Chuck's house. He was a fabulous host! The room was very comfortable, and we had not only one but TWO private bathrooms. There was also a game room with a ping-pong table, and we enjoyed playing that with each other -- and with Chuck, too! We also enjoyed many good conversations with Chuck, and watched several movies together. He is very laid back, and he made us feel like this was our home. He also allowed us to park our RV near his home for several days until the person who was buying it from us came to pick it up -- we greatly appreciated this! We are moving into our new home today, and it is less than 3 miles from Chuck's house. I'm sure we will continue to enjoy Chuck's company as a neighbor. We're so glad we stayed at Chuck's place, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I am spent most of my life in California and Nevada working for different Universities. I spent the last two years in Africa in the Peace Corps and now am semi-retired in Tucson.
