A whole, private apartment in the perfect Old Town location by castle (walk everywhere you need) with own kitchen and bathroom. Sleeps 4 (Kingsize bedroom and double sofabed in lounge). WIFI, Parking on street (metered Mon>Fri). Peaceful + big views

The space

My calendar is updated every day so you may 'Instant Book' with confidence. :)

If you'd like to combine a break with our log house in the nearby mountains we'll do a discount - see it here -

A whole apartment sleeping 4, with wifi, by the Wawel castle in the Old Town, with a retro/ 1950s restored interior.

What's included? Basically just bring yourselves, and food and drink. The bed/s are made (according to number staying) with 100% cotton linen, towels & teatowels provided, fresh dishcloth every time (and washing up liquid, and liquid soap, and first few toilet rolls). No extra charges after arrival, utilities are included. The kitchen is well equipped. All you need is to relax, open the balconette doors with your drink of choice, and admire your amazing view over the rooftops!

Lie in bed and watch the sun rise over the Wawel castle at my newly-restored apartment in Kraków Old Town. When you stay in Kraków you want to be in the Old Town, near to Kazimierz (the bohemian Jewish quarter where all the best bars and restaurants are), and within a short walk of the Rynek (main market square) and the Royal Wawel castle complex. This stylish apartment provides the perfect central location where all the sights are easily walkable, and you won't even need to use the (excellent, and cheap) public transport.

After viewing nearly 60 different flats I bought this one for myself as it had the best views I'd seen in any Kraków flat, and despite being very central was extremely peaceful. Friends who visit when I'm here always comment how tranquil the location is, as they're surprised with it being so central. You can sleep at night with the French doors open to the view and you'll hear no traffic noise....though you will hear the trumpeteer at the Mariacki church on the main square every hour.

I've completely renovated the flat in a 1950s style with original and reproduction furnishings, design and papers. A new oak parquet has been laid throughout, there is gas central heating, free WIFI, a new kitchen and bathroom. Mattress is the top of the range as I know how important it is to get a good night's sleep.

Lounge with French doors/ 'Juliette' balcony to Old Town view. Traditional stove. New quality double sofabed.
Bedroom with French doors/ 'Juliette' balcony to Wawel view.

We now have a cot (bedding must be supplied by guests) this MUST be requested before booking as it shared between our other apartments.

Outside - communal garden, on-street parking (metered on weekdays). If you look to the right you can see the tower of the Mariacki church on the main square. New kingsize bed with great quality mattress and 100% cotton bedlinen

Kitchen - newly built with double sink, fridge (small freezer compartment), oven, induction hob, kettle, toaster

Shower-room - good shower, toilet

Communal garden
On-street parking (metered on weekdays, a c12 minute walk to area with free on-street parking)

Wawel castle - 4 minute walk
Kazimierz (Jewish quarter where best restaurants and bars are - 4 minute walk
Rynek (Main Square) - 8 minute walk
Tram/ bus stop (Gertrudy/Starowislna) - 3 minute walk

Note the apartment is on the 4th floor accessed by stairs, not lift.

What makes this apartment unique is that it has great views, the perfect location mid Old Town/ Kazimierz and it was renovated as a private residence - good quality - not as tourist let.

Greg's place was a gem. It was easy to find and we were able to park right outside the building. The parking meters have multiple language choices so are simple to use. The apartment is on the very edge of the Old Town and just a short walk to the Jewish Quarters - so the location was perfect for sight seeing in Krakow centre. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and quirky and had everything we required for our stay, including a lovely view of the castle. All communication with Greg or Yvonne was faultless and made for a relaxed and worry free trip. Many thanks Greg for providing such a lovely holiday home.

Clean, spacious and ideally located between the old town and the Jewish quarter. It was also quiet and in a nice neighborhood. I didn't get to meet Greg but he was responsive and has complied detailed and easy to follow instructions for your stay. Stunning view of the castle!

This was a great apartment for our trip to Krakow! The location was ideal and within easy walking distance the station, Market Square and the Castle. We even walked through the Jewish Quarter to the Schindler Museum which only took us about 30 minutes. It was easy to get to and to access using the instructions provided. The apartment itself has great character, the bed was really comfortable and the view of the castle was stunning! The kitchen had everything we needed, although we chose to eat out all the time as the cost of food and drink is very reasonable and there are lots of very good restaurants nearby. As previous reviews said, the shower head could do to be replaced. We only found the temperature hard to regulate if the heating was turned up right before taking a shower. Otherwise it was fine and not really an issue for us. The apartment is on the top floor but the climb up the stairs is so worth it when you see the view! Perfect little coffee table and chairs at the window, which was were we spent most of our time when in the apartment. Greg and Yvonne were really quick to get back to our messages and even gave us a late checkout, which was very much appreciated. We would recommend this apartment and can’t want to go back!

Good location. Comfy bed. Unfortunately the shower is poor, the shower head leaks and it's impossible to regulate the temperature. The flat is on the top floor, no lift, so be prepared to climb +/- 100 steps. Clearly there are many smokers in the building as the common areas smell of it.

Greg's pad was everything the listing described and then some! We arrived for a 4 day trip on our 3 week vacation through Poland and Czech Republic. We arrived in the afternoon and got lucky to find some parking the next street over which wasn't bad at all. Plan on spending about 30zL on parking for 4 days and have some coin on you. As described in the listing you can't miss the red door with the lock box and just like that we were in! Be prepared for a nice workout up the 4 floors to the pad, it will be worth it trust me! Once we got in, it was everything the pictures said! The view of Wawel Castle was amazing in real time and the pad was decorated in that very cool retro look. Keep the windows open at night and you can hear the man that plays the trumpet at the top of the hour from the top of the Church in Stare Miesto (very soothing). Location was perfect for all our travels, a quick 5 minute walk to Stare Miesto, Wawel Castle, and all the shops and restaurants around. We didn't need to drive anywhere and if you needed to go more into Kracow the tram is on the main road. My fiance and I are "foody's" and we tried some great restaurants in our travels. For a more fine dining experience go to Albertina Wine and Restaurant....some of the most amazing fusion Polish/Europeon cuisine you can have! For a nice lunch or snack go to Starapolska in the square for some nice authentic Polish dishes, service is 50/50 as it is a tourist area but good for a couple beers, sausages, and pierogi's. Some great cafe's as well for breakfast all around the area. Reason I mention those is not only for you to find some great places to eat but also more importantly to see that staying at Greg's pad will get you some great food and Kracow's history in less then a 7 minute walk. Lastly we need to thank Greg's cleaner Aja for doing a load of laundry for us and doing it for a low cost!! She was wonderful!! We will definetly look to stay at one of Greg's pads when traveling to Poland and abroad again!! Rob and Ola
