The Dairy is a luxury cottage with breath taking views and located within the grounds of a historical 16th Century farmhouse. It is set in a picture postcard Somerset village a stone's throw from the World Heritage City of Bath.
Outstanding views across the Cam Valley with a private deck and small garden and access to 100 miles of footpaths.
The cottage is newly refurbished with luxury fittings throughout.
There are very comfortable, original Thomas Lloyd Chesterfield leather sofa and armchair's in the living area plus a well curated assortment of books, games, films and wifi.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm and we are able to stock it with delicious food direct from local farmers by prior arrangement.
The bedrooms have 1500 pocket sprung mattresses, Hungarian goose down duvet’s and 450 thread count cotton bedding. We hope you sleep exceptionally well!
The bathroom is well appointed with luxury Bramley products made from locally sourced plants and herbs for your use throughout your stay and has a powerful shower with plenty of hot water and a bath which is great for kids.
We have tried to think of everything to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible but we are always on hand should you have any additional requirements. We love kids and can provide you with everything you need to make sure your little one is comfortable, including cot, highchair, toys, childrens books and films. The cottage is on one level and although it has a luxury interior it is also very robust and safe so you can relax while you're little ones run around. During the better weather we have an assortment of outdoor play equipment which we can provide such as a paddling pool, sand pit and ride ons.
There are many country pursuits right on our doorstep including walking, horse-riding, clay pigeon shooting, golf, sailing and many more.
We are also very close to Bath which has fantastic shopping, museums, restaurants and bars, making this an all year round great holiday destination. Go to the Visit Bath website to find out more. Also check out our Guidebook on Airbnb which we are adding more and more recommendations to.
The village itself is exceptionally friendly and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is plenty to do and see right on our doorstep, from great walks across rolling hills to the nearest pub to seeing the ducklings, piglets and lambs cavorting in spring time.
We are 5 miles and a 15 minute drive right to the centre of Bath were there is plenty of inexpensive parking.
We are rural however there is also a bus about a 15 minute (cross-country to wellies a must) walk away which will take you straight to the centre of Bath.

Lovely touch thanks Alex...love a nice bottle of red and the bread, milk, loo rolls and smellies were great too. Thanks for the logs and kindling too...lovely real fire.
We had a beautiful weekend in Bath and really enjoyed our stay at The Dairy. From initial pre-booking queries to a day before our visit Alex was very helpful.
The dairy had a very cosy, homely feel to it and was equipped with a great set of DVD'S, books and things to do in and around Bath.
We will definitley come back again...
We had a great few days at the Dairy. The property was finished to a high quality and just as described. Alexandra was very helpful and we look forward to staying again.
This was our second time visiting the lovely flat! Love the location and it is a perfect little retreat. Alexandra does a fabulous job keeping it clean and decorated with nice taste.
What a fabulous place to stay with kids! We had a wonderful stay at the Dairy with our two full-of-beans toddlers (18 months & 3). It has everything you need to stay in comfort/style and all on one level, so no stairs to mess about with. It really is what you see in the pictures clean, comfortable, beautiful views and in a real English village with lovely paths to wander along and cows, horses, sheep to visit and a beautiful real wood fire to enjoy at night with a glass of wine. The beds are as comfy as others have said, with super huge duvet covers and lovely thick towels also. The kitchen is well equipped, the only thing I found I didn't like about this kitchen was the vegetable peeler, but really I only had one carrot to peel. The heating worked perfectly, we were never cold (even though it was the middle of winter) and we had plenty of hot water morning and night. The rooms were a great size and the furnishings are lovely. The views speak for themselves and I could only imagine would be even more beautiful in Spring/Summer/Autumn.
While we did not meet our hosts they were very helpful via email and texts. The cottage was stocked with plenty of DVDs, books, games etc and they provided us with a cot for the bub, a highchair, change mat and bib. The little touches really made it a special stay. Like other reviewers have commented there was a loaf of bread, some butter, milk and a bottle of wine waiting for us too. There is a comprehensive guide book in the property compiled by the hosts also.
As for location it was perfect! Only 15min from the centre of Bath. We only had a 3-day weekend at the Dairy (coming up from London) and there is honestly a million things to do in Somerset. We spent some time in Bath on the Saturday, on Sunday the went to beautiful Wells to check out the Bishops palace and gardens and stopped in at the farmers market/play barn at Farrington Gurney farm shop on the way back to the cottage. And then on Sunday we headed home via a visit at Stonehenge and lunch in the Wheatsheaf Inn in nearby Woodford Village.
If I had to stretch to constructive feedback I could only offer maybe leaving more than 1 washing machine pod. I clean forgot to bring mine and after an enjoyable walk along the muddy public footpaths we needed to a whites and colours wash of the kids clothes, but couldn't as there was only one pod. But really that is super-stretching it!
We really enjoyed every aspect of the cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone heading to Somerset!
Lovely, relaxed cottage. Very new so there were a few small teething problems but Alex was always there or at the end of the phone to sort them out. Amazing location and decor really nice too. Definitely recommend.
We stayed in the cottage for Christmas week and chose it because we wanted a quite & relaxing break without being in a big holiday complex but without being so isolated we would be in fear of getting cut off. The cottage struck just the right balance and was actually a little larger than it appears in the photos. It was well equipped and the kitchen was a dream to cook in; we even did a full Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings & still had counter space to spare. The country side was glorious & Alex recommended a great Play Barn where our children (aged 4 & almost 2) had a fun day. We visited Bath for a couple of days & found it an easy drive with plenty of parking & fab shops. We would love to visit again & will be recommending. Claire, Dan, Alana & Claudia
