I am offering a private room in my Arts and Craft bungalow. The room can accommodate two. The room has a closet, a queen air mattress, chair and table. Please feel free to use the kitchen, living room and dining room while you are here. The full bathroom is next to the bedroom. There is also free wireless internet available, and cable TV in the living room.
The funky neighborhood of Bayview is full of great restaurants and bars. It is easy to get to from downtown, the lake (about 1 mile), Summerfest/Harley Festival Grounds (about 3.5 miles), the airport or Intermodal (about 3.5 miles), and the I-94 (about 1.5 miles). Feel free to ask me any questions about the neighborhood or Milwaukee.
I can provide some great suggestions in the neighborhood or in the city. On Tuesdays, one of the biggest free outdoor concerts occurs just a couple blocks from house -- Chill on the Hill at Humboldt Park. And one of the best beaches, South Shore Park, is about a 1/2 mile away. This is the location of the local Saturday farmer's market, and it is a lovely walk.
About me, I am laid back, and am enrolled in graduate school full-time embarking on a new career in architecture. I enjoy meeting new people and ensure that their experience in Milwaukee is a positive one.
If you plan to arrive by car, please be advised that you will need to register you car with city for night parking only (this is true throughout the city, Sunday night - Friday night). There is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood and there are no time limits (except that the car must be registered at night). Once you book, you will receive a link to register your car.
Here are some of the things to enjoy around the neighborhood. Bayview is a neighborhood, it is not dense. The walks or bike rides are very pleasurable through the mature, tree-lined streets.

Mike was a great host. He took plenty of time to help us navigate the city on bike, gave us some great meal recommendations, and even cooked a full breakfast for us on Saturday which was unexpected. We would certainly recommend staying with Mike if you are able to.
Mike was an absolutely wonderful host for our quick trip through Milwaukee. He had insight on lots of places to go and things to see, restaurant recommendations, a nice cool bedroom, and he even made us a delicious breakfast on the day of our departure. Mike has AirBnB down. I would highly recommend him to anyone passing through Milwaukee.
Mike was a great host. He was so personable and easy to talk to and his laugh was infectious. We unfortunately didn't get to stay for his famous breakfast but he offered homemade banana bread and other quick options that we could take on the road. He left us some brochures detailing local events and gave us great recommendations. We planned our night out in his neighborhood and had a great evening. We feel like we gained a friend in Milwaukee.
Mike was kind, engaging, welcoming, and an ideal Airbnb host from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. He gave us some great recommendations of areas and attractions to check out, including Leon's Frozen Custard, the most delicious desert I have ever tasted!! His recommendations made our stay in Milwaukee so much better than it would have been if I relied on online sources. Mike's home is beautiful and well kept. Our air mattress was not incredibly comfortable, but I didn't expect a luxurious bed considering what we paid, so no complaints here. Thank you, Mike, for a wonderful experience!
Mike's house was located in a great neighborhood in Milwaukee, a quick trip to everywhere we needed. The room was clean and quiet, and there was ample street parking. He offered us breakfast one morning, but we had obligations and had to decline, but the gesture was nice. We will stay again if we return to Milwaukee.
This was our first Airbnb experience, and it surpassed all expectations. The house is beautiful, comfortable and clean. Mike is an excellent host, his help on getting around the city and suggestions of places to go was priceless and made our trip much better than it would have been. It was so good that my girlfriend wants to move to Milwaukee.
We had a great time staying with Mike - his house is beautiful, he had lots of suggestions of places to eat and things to do in Milwaukee, and he cooked us a delicious breakfast the morning we left. I can't recommend Mike enough as an Airbnb host if you're looking for a place to stay in Milwaukee.
Mike is a great host, thoughtful about what makes the stay work for his guests. The house is clean and neighborhood quiet. It was our first airbnb stay and was great.
I stayed at Mike's house for 2 nights while visiting Milwaukee. He's a great host and the house is extremely clean. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Milwaukee, especially for those with access to a car. There are great coffee shops within walking distance, and the location is accessible by bus from downtown, though it runs infrequently.
Mike is so friendly, responsible and helpful host to let us feel like at home. I strongly recommend his nice house!
