Boston house and hotel is very expensive, so please don't expect condition like hotel with this price. But we provide all the basic living condition and have kitchen available. If you look for your honey moon stay, please keep this place away :) :)
We had a party of 9 staying at this location, which was more than the listing offered, however Rex set up extra beds and worked with us to meet our accommodations and our budget. We rented out all the rooms in the apartment and the in-house managers were relatively unnoticeable and very kind, which is exactly the kind of privacy we were asking for. There are some amenities they offered that are not listed here on the website, such as heating, internet & wireless internet, and a small kitchen area. The photos shown on the listing here are not even from this property and the quality of the property is not as strong as the photos let on, so more accurate photos would be beneficial for other parties/ people booking here. The listing also says it offers 1.5 bathrooms but there was definitely only 1 that we ever noticed and used.
Having never booked outside of downtown Boston before, I didn't realize the area of Revere is not very nice. It wasn't dangerous but it certainly is not super safe either, but Rex does mention this in the listing. I would recommend guests do a (website hidden) street view of the area to determine if it is to their liking. We didn't go to the beach but I heard from multiple sources not to visit the beach in the Revere area due to its poor quality, but I digress. Overall, we were not at the house very much during daytime hours except to sleep in the evening and this property did its job. You're paying for what you get.
I had a great stay at Rex's place in Revere! The apartment and common areas were spacious and the room had very comfortable beds. It is extremely close to the T station and Revere Beach, which is quite a sight to behold at night. It was a perfectly comfortable place for a short visit. Thanks Rex!
I liked staying at Rex apt. It was clean and nice, not luxurious but good for its price. Rex was helpful and he answered all my questions very quick. We didn't have any problems, everything was smooth. Its location is very convenient, 1 min from the t station. Definitely gonna stay at his apt again.
The bed is very comfortable. I slept like a baby. The guy that helps maintain the place is nice. It is a little rundown and doesn't quite feel homely, but it's very, very close to the T which was very helpful.
I' ve been to house inn for 6 nights, the flat is next to subway revere beach and you can easily reach the downtown, ... the flat have the basic furniture, the bathroom is quite small but generally confortable.
the price is convenient and it's good for visiting boston for few days.
the manager is also very nice.
Very convenient to downtown Boston.
Revere is a fantastic location. The 5km walk along the beach has great views. The closeness to th metro is great. The complaints about unsafety are not true. While the neighbourhood is slightly run down compared to the rest of Revere, it certainly is no slum! So: yes, the place is simple. I have never had a problem with simplicity. Juan is also very friendly. When I locked the key in my room by mistake him and Rex were very helpful. The thing is: this place is more private than a hostel, and situated well. It does require a serious clean, however, and then it will really be lovely to stay. If you were planning on staying in a hostel, this is a relatively cheap upgrade. If you were planning on staying in a hotel, you should maybe try something else. Great for a backpacker.
This place is not worth the money, untidy and disorganized.
We were a group of 5 who decided unanimously to rather sleep at the airport after the event we attended.
The front room is large and bright, but very noisy; sound coming from the subway close by and planes. The place is basic and needs a lot of cleaning. For young single guys (or anyone not bothered by cleanliness), it is fine. I never met the owner during my five nights there (though correspondence was all done quickly), but Juan Carlos, who is looking after the place for the owner is a great guy; helpful, super friendly and accommodating (I got my room changed after one night). The rear room was much quieter. I mentioned to him that the place needs cleaning badly and he is going to pass this message on to Rex. If that is dealt with, it will be a huge plus. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the subway and beach. The day I arrived, there were a few mix-ups with rooms and keys (the person who had my room locked the key in the room and there was no spare key...a long story), but I think that these things would be the exceptions.
