Interaction with Guests
I am happy to share my living areas with guests, there is Internet TV, WiFi, separate study room to read or meditate, or listen to music and unwind.
It is an easy bus trip to the city centre (16, 31, 41 and 44) and to the Wicklow Mountains just from the end of my street (44 bus) and I can help with orientation and directions in Dublin.
I live on a quiet street. It's safe and friendly. Albert Park is alongside the grounds in DCU and is a great amenity for walking and running. The OMNI shopping centre is walking distance and has a cinema complex and restaurants. The city centre is very close, an easy cycle, a 40 minute walk and a 10 - 20 min bus ride. The buses all drop you along the O'Connell Street - Dame Street - Georges Street focus of the city centre
Safe free on street parking. Public transport: (phone number hidden) Dublin bikes 15 min walk away
Other Things to Note
I have three very well cared for and well-behaved cats. The bedroom is out of bounds for them. They spend most of their time out of doors but enjoy socialising.
Respect the space. I am a non-smoker but you can smoke in the garden.
Drunken behaviour is not welcome - if you are coming to Dublin to go on a drinking spree this is not the house for you!
Please let me know your flight details and expected arrival time so I can be here to greet you.
It is a quiet house on a residential street so if you are returning late (after eleven) please keep the noise to a minimum.
Our stay at Brenda's was lovely. The rooms were perfect, the freshly baked scones delicious, and the location was close to the center but far away enough to be able to relax from the crowded city center of Dublin. Of course, these are all important features, but the thing we liked most was Brenda's personality. She helped us with everything, we could call her for advice, and we had great laughs and chats together. So: if you want a nice, cosy and comfortable stay and if you want to meet very kind people, go to Brenda.
My sister and I really enjoy our stay in Brenda's house. It was our first time in Dublin and we appreciate the help and advices of Brenda. The house is not far from the airport and it's possible to go to the city center very easily by bus.
We particularly appreciate the time speaking with Brenda. It really widens our french horizon. And Brenda's scones and pancakes are very nice to begin the journey. Thank you very much ! Bye bye, Charlotte and Justine
Brenda is an incredibly warm, gracious, and attentive host. She sent us more than enough information for how to get to her place and around Dublin. She was also very flexible with both our arrival and departure times. The breakfast was also amazing! Maybe one of the best hosts I've had.
Brenda was a most gracious host. Her BnB was very nice and had all the amenities I needed especially being close proximity to the airport. I was lost initially, but finally had found her place. She was concerned and had called AirBnB support to help locate me. She did the little things that were way beyond what she needed to do to make me feel right at home, from offering tea and cookies when I arrived, to offering to take me back to the center city for a tour I was not aware of location for and taking me to the main Heuston Rail station for my next trip. The area she lives in is a lovely quiet neighborhood and easy to get to the center city or the airport. I wish I had more time to stay in Dublin. I would definitely have stayed with her at her place and I highly recommend her place especially for first time travelers to Dublin.
We spent a really good time at Brenda's! The house is very bright and pleasant, and close to buses stations to go to the center of Dublin. Our room was very quiet and spacefull. Brenda is really a great host, she gave us a lot of advices, and we talked a lot! She is really a good cook too, her scones and breakfasts are delicious! Even her cats are very friendly ^^
We spent five good days at Brenda's home! It's a quiet and warming place with lovely cats! We enjoyed speak with Brenda who helped us perfectly when we needed advices! And also the breakfast was very good !! We highly recommand !!
