I live alone in a flat with 3 bedrooms near Bagdat Street (one of the post neighborhoods on the Asian side of Istanbul). I am renting out the two other rooms in the house. Both have single beds in them. Kitchen and bathrooms are shared. I have 2 restrooms, only one has a shower.
LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION:
The shops and restaurants are within 350-700m (5-10min walk) from the flat. The whole Bagdat Street is full of dining and shopping options. There are minibuses every second that take you to Kadikoy (where you can take the ferry to Kabatas or Eminonu to visit all the touristic places. the ferry takes you to the European side in 20minutes and the minibus takes 30-40 minutes). I can help you with any travel or trip plannings.
In case you end up partying in the European center (Taksim) at night you can return with a shared taxi or bus easily 24/7 - however the bar scene in Bagdat Caddesi is also very popular.
There are airport shuttles come close to my place, after that you can take a taxi to come to my place. You should take the shuttle to Kozyatagi. Both airports (Sabiha and Atatürk) are far from the city, so unless you want to live outside the city you will not be near the airport. Atatürk is on the European side and Sabiha is on the Asian side.
I provide sheets & towels. There is a fridge, dishwasher, water heater and an oven in the kitchen. Windows are protected from mosquitos with nets. Hot water 24 hours. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is a laundry machine and a drying rack. Kiosk/shop in front of flat open 6am-1am - many grocery stores within waling distance. No extra charges. Please ask if you have any more questions.
I stayed one weekend into Irem's place. Irem is very nice and warm person. She helped me with explaining how moving in Istanbul (transportion and how spending time) and giving maps. The house is very nice and the room very comfortable!
I had a great time in an comfortable big flat near the biggest shopping street in Istanbul. Irem was always a big help for me, I could ask her any questions about Istanbul. As a host she did a great job, She really takes care and living together with her was almost like with a friend.
