Central location, close to Bagdat Avenue and the Fahrettin Kerim Gokay Avenue. Public transportation lines are very close, an hour away from the old city. Comfortable space.

The space

I live in a flat with 3 bedrooms in Bagdat Street (a very chic residential neighborhood on the Asian side of Istanbul). My place is in the heart of a district that is famous for its shopping and restaurant scene. It is also very close to the sea side (10 min walk) that is commonly used for all sorts of sports. I am renting out two bedrooms in the house. Both have single beds in them. They have a private bathroom; the shower is shared. Kitchen and living room are also shared.

Many shops and restaurants are within (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)min walk) from the flat. The whole Bagdat Street is full of dining and shopping options. (URL HIDDEN)

Bagdat Street, Erenkoy is 5 minutes away from my house.
Karakoy, Eminonu, old city is an hour away from my house.
Kadikoy is 30 minutes away from my house.
Prince Islands are 25 minutes away from my house.
Taksim is 40 minutes away from my house.

Public transportation is available in many shapes and forms. (1) Dolmushes (classic yellow Istanbul buses) are located 7 minutes away walking distance and they are very very frequent - they take you to Kadikoy (where you can take the ferry to Kabatas or Eminonu to visit all the touristic places), they take you to Bostanci (where you can take the ferry to the Prince Islands, or they take you to Taksim where most of night life and some other tourist areas are located.

(2) Buses are 15 minutes away from my place (walking distance) and they go to many different locations.

(3) Kadikoy sea ferries are 40 minutes away with a dlomush, and they take you to the European side in another 20 minutes or they take you to the Prince Islands in another 20 minutes.

(4) Bostanci sea ferries are 20 minutes away with a dolmush, and they take you to the European side in another 20 minutes or they take you to the Prince Islands in another 10 minutes.

I can help you with any travel or trip plans.

In case you end up partying in the European center (Taksim) at night you can return with a shared taxi or bus easily 24/7 - however the bar scene in Bagdat Street is also very popular.

There airport shuttles come close to my place, after that you can take a taxi to come to my place. You should take the shuttle to Kozyatagi. Both airports (Sabiha and Atatürk) are far from the city, so unless you want to live outside the city you will not be near the airport. Atatürk is on the European side and Sabiha is on the Asian side.

High-speed wifi. I provide sheets & towels. There is a fridge, dishwasher, water heater and an oven in the kitchen. Windows are protected from mosquitos with nets. Hot water 24 hours. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is a laundry machine, no dryer but I can provide a door hanger. Kiosk/shop in front of flat open 6am-1am - many grocery stores within waling distance. $15 cleaning fee. No extra charges. Please ask if you have any more questions.

Guest access

Guests have access to everything from kitchen to the living room. They can cook, although frying is not allowed.

I interact with my guests as much as they want me to. If you would like me to explain you possible trips, tours; I am more than happy to. I provide maps of the city, my area and a list of cool things to do. :)

I stayed one weekend into Irem's place. Irem is very nice and warm person. She helped me with explaining how moving in Istanbul (transportion and how spending time) and giving maps. The house is very nice and the room very comfortable!

I had a great time in an comfortable big flat near the biggest shopping street in Istanbul. Irem was always a big help for me, I could ask her any questions about Istanbul. As a host she did a great job, She really takes care and living together with her was almost like with a friend.

After living in Istanbul for 18 years, I moved to the US for college. I had a great college experience for four years. After graduating, I lived in Uruguay for a year working with an innovative consulting company which helps start-ups grow. Now I work at a startup in Istanbul. I love traveling, I backpacked in Latin America and Europe. I adore meeting new cultures and friends. I speak fluent English, Spanish, Turkish, and intermediate French.

I usually go backpacking and my family likes going on roadtrips. I like seeing most things in my limited time. My favorite destinations so far are Peru, Poland, Croatia and Argentina. I can't travel without my hair dryer, kindle, iPad and my journal. I like comfort and flexibility at the places I stay.

I smile 96% of the time. I am fun and outgoing. I dance salsa at least once a week, I go snowboarding and windsurfing whenever I can. I love art and design, art museums are my favorites when I travel (oh and small cafes or hidden artsy bars that I discover while I am walking aimlessly). As a host, I am pretty easy-going, very clean, and responsible.
