This was my first time booking through airbnb and my entire experience from start to finish was excellent. I booked at the very last minute at 6pm the night before arriving and Marco was quick to reply and make all the arrangements to pick us up from the airport. The place was very nice with a fantastic view of Rome and in one of the best locations for reaching all the sites. Overall a very good experience and excellent host.
Renting from Marco was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. First, he contacted me by text to give info about how we would check in and how to get to the apartment. Hassan, who works for Marco, was there to meet us and show us around the apartment. He also told us all about the neighborhood, some special places to go and marked them on a map. My husband didn't arrive Rome until midnight, no trains run then, and Marco arranged for a private car to pick him up. Marco made it all easy! No stress!
About the apartment -- it's wonderful! Spacious -- except for 2nd bedroom and bath, but you're not spending time there -- the views are amazing. All photos on the listing are true -- except it's even more magnificent in person. Large living room, plus dining room, sufficient kitchen. Hall bath is large. The best part of course, is the terrace which goes on and on. We were fortunate that in October the weather is still warm, so we used the terrace to sit in the evening and in the morning to have coffee. There's even a rooftop terrace with 360 degree views.
It's a great building, with a lift, but we took the stairs most of the time. The location is good because you can just about walk anywhere you want, except watch out it's easy to get lost in those alleys! We found a restaurant a couple blocks away that was so good we went twice!
Marco set up a tour at the Vatican for us. Definitely the way to go if you want to see it, but be prepared for the crowds.
The only downside was that we had to leave and move on to Firenze. All 4 of us would have loved to stay much longer. Marco, we will be back!
Great apartment, great location, 100 meter from Piazza Navona. The terras was a real asset to the apartment.
The communication with Marco was prompt and smooth. His assistant Hassan was in the apartment to check us in, he was very friendly and thorough. We were there from tuesday through saturday and we didn't think the noise was a problem at all.
The car service to and from the airport booked by Marco was also perfect.
