The Space

PLEASE NOTE - From 19th July for 5 weeks, the nightly rate is greatly reduced to £60 per night - usual price is £139. This is because the lift is being refitted and will NOT be working AT ALL. The flat is on the 9th floor so you will have to WALK UP and down. It is a long way. Please do not book unless you are COMPLETELY happy to walk up and down to the 9th floor. Welcome to our beautiful 3 bedroom (1 twin, 1 double and 1 single) duplex penthouse apartment, bang in the middle of Manchester. Located within easy walking distance of the city centre, the universities, Piccadilly and Oxford Road train stations - we hope you will love our place whether you are here on business or pleasure. There is also one secure parking space should you need it - at no additional charge!

As we are situated on the 9th and 10th Floor, the apartment is very quiet for the city centre. Although set over 1600sq feet, the apartment is really homely even if there is only 2 of you!

Split over two levels, on the 9th floor there is a huge kitchen/dining room with a balcony which has great views. There is also 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a separate house WC.

On the 10th floor is the main living room with floor to ceiling windows offering stunning views. The master bedroom has an en-suite bath and shower room. There is also a single room which is situated off the main living area.

We no longer accept bookings for groups of men coming for weekend stays. Businessmen during the week are fine. If there is only one female in your group then the female must be the one doing the booking. Sorry but with every group of lads staying we have had issues!

(Please note that the furniture shown in the photos might be slightly different to the furniture when you come to stay as we are in the process of changing stuff around. Be sure that it will still be great comfortable furniture!)

NEIGHBOURHOOD.
We are so close to everything that I thought it easiest to give approximate walking time to the main districts of Manchester:

3 minutes walk to Oxford Road bars, restaurants and shops and venues such as The Deaf Institute, The Ritz.
5 minutes walk to Palace Theatre
5 minutes walk to Canal St / Gay Village
7 minutes walk to China Town
10 minutes walk to Deangate Locks bars and restaurants
10-15 minutes walk to main shopping area - Market Street, Arndale, Deansgate
15-20 minutes walk to the Northern Quarter shops, bars and restaurants.

If you are coming to Manchester for a gig - here are some walking times for the main venues.

Palace Theatre - 5 minutes
Cornerhouse Art Cinema - 5 minutes
Town Hall - 10 minutes
Manchester Academy - 15 minutes
Bridgewater Hall - 15 minutes
O2 - 20 minutes
Manchester Arena - 20 minutes

There is a Co-Op, Sainsburys and Vegetarian supermarket all within 5 minutes walk.

A few house rules:
Maximum 5 people to stay. We do not want bodies on sofas!
No smoking in the property. You may smoke on the balcony.
No Pets
No loud noise after 11pm - please respect our neighbours.
We prefer if you remove your shoes, especially stilettos heels MUST be removed to protect our oak flooring.
Unless we have pre-arranged a late check out, please vacate by 12pm as often there are other guests due to arrive on the same day.

  • The apartment was exactly as listed -- a very spacious 2-story flat in a multi-story complex, conveniently located in Manchester City Centre. The location is well situated to public transport, the university, and restaurants and pubs, and very safely located. All the facilities were in good working order, with clear instructions for how to use everything. Large windows and a small balcony give good opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views of the city made possible by the 9th-story location. There's a fair bit of traffic noise with the windows open, but nothing unusual given that it is in a city (and of course you can close the windows if you prefer). The host was responsive, friendly, and very easy to work with. Thanks Josie!

  • Lovely big apartment over 2 floors. Great bedrooms for groups or families. Excellent central location for all parts of town. Would definitely recommend.

  • We did not meet Josie in person but the information she gave us was all very clear and she also replied to all our emails /texts very promptly. The apartment is nice, bright and spacious. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. The oven and the washing machine not so much - ended up not using the oven and having to clean the soap tray of the washing machine as it was all mouldy. Overall a pleasant experience.

  • All the information given to us regarding the apartment and codes was correct! We were a little worried as there are a lot of codes to remember! The size and location were perfect and we felt like Kings and Queens in our tower! Thanks for making it all so easy for us!

  • Josie was very easy to contact, and the flat was as lovely as the pictures suggested!

    The third bedroom is very small, but the flat is lovely and spacious, and the bedroom opens off a large living room, so this wasn't an issue, though it should be noted that both showers & the bath are within the two main bedrooms.

    Instructions on how to control things like the heating were all very clear, and Josie very promptly sent me instructions (including photos) of how to resolve the issue when the downstairs shower wasn't working properly.

    All in all the flat was just right for what we needed, and I'd definitely stay there again.

  • Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem Appartement sehr genossen. Es ist sehr großzügig geschnitten, die Räume sind sehr hell und es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Duschen. Der Balkon ist im Vergleich klein und man hört die nahe Schnellstrasse deutlich. Im Appartment ist es bei geschlossenen Fenster aber angenehm ruhig. Die Klimaanlage inkl. Warmwasser ist ein wenig kompliziert zu bedienen.
    Sehr komfortabel ist die Lage des Appartements: Direkt im Univiertel gelegen, erreicht man innerhalb von 15 Min. Fußweg die zentrale Einkaufsstrasse beim Piccadilly Bus- und Zug-Bahnhof. Das Northern Quarter mit seinen vielen Bars ist innerhalb von 20 Min. zu erreichen - The Millstone Pub ist einen Besuch wert. ;-) Chinatown ist ebenfalls in der Nähe - dort haben wir im Try Thai überraschend gut gegessen.
    Die Gastgeberin Josie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Abwicklung, inkl. Schlüsselübergabe war sehr professionell.
    Sehr zu empfehlen.
