Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
"Not just an overnight stop-off on I-70 crossing the plains" This is a unique ranch stay. Step back to the mid-century timeframe, south of Topeka, 3 bedrooms, full kitchen/2 baths.
This is an original cowboy bunkhouse serving travelers in an old-west setting. We invite anyone who is "cowboy curious" for a ranch stay, ask questions!- We love to discuss "the cowboy way".
BTW, high speed internet so you won't miss favorite streaming TV.

The space
Heartland Ranch is very easy to find on GPS - listed address is 3201 SW 93rd St, Wakarusa, KS 66546. We provide coffee/tea service with breakfast snacks, and sometimes fresh farm eggs (you cook). Anything special you may need, please ask. Parking is right beside the entrance to the Ranch bunkhouse.

This place is located near the city of Topeka. The cowboy bunkhouse, has been a favorite over the years as a "horse hotel at the barn and a cowboy stay in the bunkhouse". Guests over the years include people hauling horses to events and cowboys on the way to a rodeo. Traveling nurses, military assignments at Forbes Field and contract workers have found this to be the perfect place to get some peace and quiet from their busy work day. It is a convenient southern location for any place in the Topeka metro area.

There is high speed internet as a consideration of those travelers who bring their office work with them or want to keep up on the latest entertainment series.
Please do not take anything home with you that belongs to the ranch... If you leave some property, please let me know so we can return it to you via USPO, no worries.

Guest access
The bunkhouse is entered from the front porch. Easy access to the kitchen and a small powder room. There are 2 additional bedrooms- 2 bunk beds, plus a single in a separate bedroom. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
There are 4 steps up to the porch with sturdy railings for safe access. Not accessible for those with limited physical ability. No Firearms are allowed on the property. Please review Kansas Laws for alcohol age use and illegal drugs list.

Other things to note
Heartland Ranch has been a working horse and cattle operation for past years. Now retired, we host overnight horse-travelers from all over the country as a layover and stabling for people traveling to horse shows and campgrounds throughout the USA. It's not a dude ranch, but we invite anyone who is "cowboy curious"!

In Kansas, there is dust, insects, wildlife and lots of wind in hot/cold weather patterns, so check in and be able to tolerate these circumstances with joy- it's a beautiful thing

Please review Kansas Laws for alcohol age use and laws about illegal drugs. No firearms are allowed in the bunkhouse.
