  • Its a little confusing as far as rooms go, the pictures don't exactly portray what you get. Yulia was great and moved us to a better room because of the confusion. The breakfast and food there is great and the rooms are clean and nice. The place is quite a long way out of town so be prepared for that. And I would say avoid a full moon as there were a group of people in one of the villa's close by full moon partying and kept us awake all night. Apart from those few things all good.

  • We weren't allocated this exact room advertised, but our room was even better than pictured, with amazing views of the rice fields. Very large, clean and charming abode with privacy.

The wifi didn't reach our room, but it wasn't a problem since we wanted to enjoy the view and avoid our phones (wifi access in the communal areas was really good when our resolve cracked).

This place is actually part of the Indigo Tree resort. We recommend organizing a pick up, because it would be difficult to find if your driver doesn't know the place.

Lovely green resort with fresh air away from central Ubud, but not too far by car/motorbike. Great staff and free shuttle into town. Breakfast pancakes and fruit salad are awesome!

We loved our stay and highly recommend staying here.

Watch out for the pool, though, I got a bacterial infection on my leg after swimming. Not sure if its properly chlorinated.

  • Had a great stay here. Definitely the sort of place you could only find through airbnb. Great breakfast, strong communication, they were able to set us up with a scooter rental for only $5 a day, and two very cute/friendly cats on the property. Only things to keep in mind - this is not walking distance to Ubud, you're far enough outside the "main" city that a scooter is required. Also you are definitely in the jungle, so expect some bugs.

  • An excellent place to stay! Villa is set back in a secluded area with a nice garden. Rooms are very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Only downside is no pool but otherwise would recommend staying here. Definitely need a scooter or taxi to get into Ubud but only 10-15 mins away. Thanks to Andre for helping with some great suggestions of places to check out.

  • Eugene and Julia are very kind and thoughtful hosts. They made a delicious breakfast (best we had in Bali) and joined us each day with suggestions of what to do in Ubud and about the Balinese culture. If you have any questions at all, Eugene and Julia are amazing to talk to with great conversation!

The villa is spacious and clean, and the garden is a beautiful getaway from the busy downtown. Ubud is countryside so be ready for some nature and critters! That being said, Julia was a goddess in helping us deal with any of our insect issues. Overall, the stay was really pleasant and we hope to cross paths with the hosts again!!

    * Please note, it is a ways from town so you will need to know how to scooter or hire a driver to go to town for around reasonable 40,000 rupiah.

  • I absolutely loved Julia and Yu. There hospitality was lovely and there house serene. The morning coffee and breakfast was gorgeous accompanied by thoughtful conversation. My arrival coincided with the Balinese Christmas holiday and they so generously included me In their holiday plans as I was traveling by myself. It was the best Christmas I've had in years (sans family argument and annoying cousins scrounging for presents).

I will miss them and hope to cross paths soon.

  • This place was an oasis of cool and quiet. A great place to rest up and peace out before and after your travel adventures. Walking distance to a couple nice cafe's. Not too far from downtown. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. When I go back to Ubud I'll happily stay here again. The house is a little tricky to find first time around; I'd suggest using the car that Eugene can organise for you at a reasonable price.

  • thanks so much to julia and her nice boyfriend to make our stay in ubud unforgettable. the guys gave us the best tipps to explore the whole region. we were lucky to end up in their place and to spend time with them. the house and the garden are a perfect place to escape and being close to ubud center at the same time, if you have a scooter. we hope to make it back some day!

    September 2013
  • This place was very serene - set a little out of the centre of Ubud near a river and lots of greenery. The room was very nicely decorated and seemed very new, so nice and clean. Julia was very friendly and hospitable - breakfast was lovely and she was helpful with ideas and tips about what to do. The location is fine but you will definitely need a motorbike to get around which you can rent from Julia. Thanks again for having us!
