Ewa was very sweet and hospitable. She greeted us upon arrival before she had to rush off, and then on our last day, brought us poppyseed lemon bread. The place was the perfect size for 2 people. We enjoyed our stay!
Eva (pronounced Ava) is a wonderful host. She has a beautiful secluded location and the room, bath and bed were lovely. Poppyseed muffins were fresh baked for breakfast, the refrigerator was handy for chilling wine and the backyard was charming. Our little 5lb. Chihuahua loved the hens and Ewa's pups. We all enjoyed our stay. We will be back to explore more of the National Seashore, in the summer. A treat was the vintage vinyl LPs and turntable.
Had a great stay in Inverness at Ewa's. She was a very warm host and greeted us with a piece of cake and Edith Piaf playing on the record player. She also recommended great walks and places to eat in the area. The cottage was super cute, well fitted and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
Ewa's place was amazing! My fiance and I stayed here for a night. Ewa was super sweet and accommodating- greeting us with fresh baked muffins! the place was cozy and comforting, big comfy bed and a record player- what else do ya need? the location was great too, beautiful surroundings and close to a lot of scenic destinations. We will definitely be coming back here.
We only stayed for one night but my husband and I enjoyed it. We had both our dogs with us and they seemed to feel at home too. Ewa is really sweet and understanding even though we were running late (FYI if you are driving up from the south bay, and the weather is nice, leave early, esp. if you have to drive through SF, and if you can help it, don't take Hwy 1 if you get even slightly carsick)
Overall it's a clean, charming lil' place, with a cute sun room that has a record player and a fun selection of records to peruse through, a cozy bedroom, small nook for making tea/coffee with a mini fridge and a private bathroom, which worked for us, but if you are taller than 5'10", the shower might be a squeeze :) thankfully we're short people.
We would definitely come back.
Ewas place felt like a fairytale. A sweet little sitting area to read a listen to music and a princess in a pea bed ( ultra comfortable). She was so lovely and even gave us recommendations on great restaurants before we left. If you are looking for easy and serene Ewas place is perfect for a quite weekend retreat.
A sunny, cozy spot with lots of character, and a wonderful host.
The accommodations on the first level of a farmhouse are private, clean and well considered, including the kitchenette with dishes, fresh ground coffee, and French press. It has wraparound windows and a patio out back. The eclectic library is a source of great diversions, and the collection of records ranges from Edith Piaf (which was playing as we arrived) to The Clancy Brothers to Rush--take your pick.
The rooms are walking distance to an excellent cafe (Blackbird) and a very good restaurant for local seafood (Saltwater)--there's also a Czech restaurant (Vladimir's, since 1960) that I have never gone to in all my years visiting Inverness, but one day, for sure.
For guests over six feet tall, the 1920's bungalow doorways may be a little low. The wifi and phone reception are just strong enough to receive messages, but may not be robust enough to work by. And while it's secluded from the main road, and very quiet at night, there are dogs and chickens by day.
Ewa is a generous and upbeat host. I look forward to returning to this ideal little nook in West Marin.
Our hostess was very friendly and the room was enjoyable in it's decor and art works. It is a great location for short rides to ocean beaches and the best restaurant around - Saltwater. Space is very tight in the bathroom. The dogs and chickens are friendly but you do have to watch your step when you leave your car.
This is a wonderful spot and very very comfortable. EWA is a super sweet person and extremely accomdating. Her place is cute, cozy and very accomdates a couple perfectly. We had a fabulous experience and would not hesitate to stay there again and again. A+++
