I want to learn more about you and hook you up with someone or somewhere that's on your pace too.
You should definitely enjoy the croissants and other yummy food, good vibes and interesting local Farangi at our compound, that runs a farmers market incl French bakery every Saturday.
We had a wonderful stay at this chalet. It was the perfect place for our baby daughter to crawl around. The host was very friendly and informative. The kitchen is great for making your own food. And the noises of nature are peaceful.
You definetly need a scooter to get around! And the resort pool at Kiree Thara is nice to use if you want to go swimming near by.
We loved the farmers market that takes place on saturday. You definetly need to go and see what it's about :)

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 9 days during our first time in Chaing Mai. Sabrina and Teun were very welcoming, and had left the house very clean. We rented a scooter (necessary, because the house is about 15 minutes from city center) and drove into town everyday. Overall, we enjoyed bring in a relatively quiet park but found the place a bit more hassle than we would have liked. We had trouble with the internet, which was not the hosts fault, but still took several days to fix. We needed the internet for work and being far from town, this was a problem. We also had a problem getting taxis here (language barrier, and they don't really know where it is), which was a minor annoyance.
The house is very spacious for 2 people and has a full kitchen. We found the bed quite uncomfortable (sagging and lumpy, or something) so ended up sleeping on the couch a bit. The house is rustic, and though it was cleaned as best as possible, did feel a little dank to us. Overall, we'd recommend this if you prefer to be a bit disconnected and are planning a longer stay in Chaing Mai. For shorter stays or if you don't want to navigate on a scooter, we'd probably stay closer to the city.
Hester's home is beautiful and very peaceful. It is tucked away in the trees and is a welcome distance from some of the hustle of the downtown Chiang Mai area (a real benefit if you happen to come during the smoky season). I would definitely recommend staying (plenty of space both inside and outside).
