The Space

Water and mountain view condo in Tacoma's N. Slope District. Granite counters & Stainless appliances in kitchen w/separate bar space & extra sink off kitchen. Nice sized dining area w/ views. Washer and dryer in unit. The bedroom is big, w/queen bed. Living room has a wood burning fireplace & a balcony to take in the views. Bathroom was updated December 2013, with tile floor and new vanity. Queen-sized (Intex Brand) self-inflating air mattress available for additional guests.

It is on the 3rd floor with 3 flights (seven stairs each) from the parking lot and extra steps from on-street parking. The lot is sloping, as we live on a hill.

Kitchen is furnished with all the equipment you need to cook or there are plenty of restaurants in nearby Old Town, Ruston Way, the Stadium District or downtown Tacoma. The Parkway Tavern is a popular neighborhood tavern that made Esquire Magazines list of "best bars"!

You'll find an assortment of teas and coffees, teapot, french press and conventional coffee pot. Bake a pie or cake, or roll your own sushi and use Japanese dishes and chop sticks. Bar makes a nice food prep station.

There are spare toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. under the sink. You can literally come with the clothes on your back and have everything you need- even wash your clothes to leave clean! :)

If this condo is booked, check out my listing on the Hilltop, near St Joseph's hospital. It is walking distance to UWT, downtown, the hospital and my same standard of cleanliness! Furnishings to come, retro kitsch is the style! :)

  • Great place, great views - easy access to the waterfront or to University of Puget Sound.

  • Perfect accommodation for us during our all too short visit to Tacoma. Very close to the University of Puget Sound campus (the reason for our visit). Condo is in a lovely quiet area with a beautiful view. We appreciated the coffee, bagels and fruit, it was a nice and unexpected surprise. The Condo is very clean, comfortable and well furnished. We loved the city and the ease of getting around very much. We look forward to staying here next time we are in Tacoma. Thank you, Diana.

  • The apartment was wonderful. Everything looked exactly like in the photographs. Diane had left bagels, eggs, and juice so that I didn't have to run to the store that first night. The bed was very comfortable and the complex quiet. It was an easy drive to the University of Puget Sound, and I walked several days down to the waterfront. I would definitely stay there again!

  • This apartment was lovely. I felt right at home and loved spending time with the company of the bay out the windows. The artwork was interesting and well chosen, the atmosphere was relaxed, and Diana was a kind and thoughtful host. This was a perfect place to come after a long drive and a stressful work conference. I felt right at home.

  • This is a very nice apartment with a great view on a sunny day. I arrived to find everything ready, clean and a fridge full of juice, milk, eggs and and plenty more...all fresh and unopened. Fire logs ready. Very nicely done throughout. It was a nice place to come back to after a busy conference.

  • Once again we had a wonderful stay at Diana's beautiful, comfortable place!
She had beer waiting for us in the fridge along with breakfast goodies and fruit!
Thanks again Diana, and hope to be back soon!

  • This was a fabulous place to stay. The location is wonderful and we loved walking the neighborhood. The condo had the BEST views and everything was so clean and well done. It made Tacoma one of my favorite places to visit. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The owner thought of everything. This place is a must if you are visiting Tacoma (which I would also highly recommend).

  • Very nice condo, well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed being able to eat-in vs. out especially on the cold, rainy Tacoma nights. The bed and big chair in living room were both very comfy, perfect for snuggling under the blankets and just relaxing :)

  • Very thoughtful, warm and smart. The kitchen was great and the apartment has such a beautiful view to enjoy while eating your meal. It was great to have the kitchen to use. Visiting any place it get very tiresome eating restaurant food for every meal. Diana is a kind and hard-working woman and it was a pleasure to do business with her. She's a great texter too. My husband stays at the Sheraton weekly, so when he had no complaints about the condo, I was pretty happy!
