We hope you will choose to come and share our beautiful mountain view and awesome Vermont with us !!! Your Hosts Joanne and Greg
Wonderful! Beautiful!.Private! Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. Our hosts Joanne & Greg were great- there to greet & welcome us, show us around their place, offer any assistance or recommendations. Our accommodations were perfect- private entrance separate from their house, our own bathroom, a huge open bedroom/livingroom, very comfortable king bed, sitting area with couch & chair looking out a huge window with a spectacular view. Loved the 2 comfy window seats big enough to curl up with a book. Our own mini refrig, microwave, Kuerig coffeepot, coffee, tea and even bedside chocolates!!! They didn't miss a beat. Their property is beautiful- we had use of the in ground pool, a firepit, a pond we could feed the fish, walking paths- have I forgotten anything?! We only wish we had more time to enjoy it all! Can't wait to go back. Thank you! Elisabeth & Mark
Joanne and Greg were awesome hosts! The room and view were absolutely beautiful and Joanne and Greg were super helpful in recommending activities in the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend staying in their suite.
This is a beautiful, peaceful spot at the foot of the mountains of northern Vermont. The property is secluded and quiet; the owners are extremely friendly and welcoming; and the room is spacious and cozy. It's a loft space in its own building separate from the house; the room is large, with a king bed and comfy living area with a gas-burning stove. There's a small fridge, microwave & coffeemaker if you want to stock up on snacks. The property is also conveniently located, just 3 miles from Bristol, and an easy 45 min drive to Burlington.
My one minor complaint is that the room had a number of flies (not that big a deal - we were told they are seasonal), but later we discovered a few wasps, too. Luckily they left us alone. Hopefully Joanne and Greg will be able to take care of the problem before their next guests. Also, the hot water doesn't last too long in the shower, so be sure to heat up the bathroom with the space heater before you use it.
Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay -- it was the perfect romantic, relaxing getaway for a fall weekend.
Joanne and Greg were excellent hosts -- kind, friendly, and accommodating. It didn't hurt that they had more suggestions for places to go than we knew what to do with -- we'd definitely come back some time.
The space was extremely nice -- great light, comfortable seating and bedding, and a beautiful view. It didn't hurt that there was excellent hiking and several small yet lively towns to explore all within 30 and 45 minute drives. We recommend Bobcat and Snaps for meals in Bristol, Antidote Bar in Vergennes, the Shelburne Farms tour for beautiful views and a delicious cheese sampler, and the Long Trail in the Green Mountain Forest for hiking. Most of the rest of the time was spent relaxing by the pool, the patio, and in the room.
I would highly recommend this room with a view to anyone looking for a serene, comfortable stay in Vermont, and/or a starting point for small town adventures.
Joanne and her lovely guest room were a dream come true! If you are looking for peace and quiet, amazing views, and a perfect New England getaway, this is for you!
My fiance and I had the most unforgettable first trip to Vermont during the Columbus Day weekend. Joanne and Greg's home is the perfect retreat, providing full privacy and breathtaking views. They were gracious hosts who greeted us warmly and provided lots of tips for things to do/places to eat nearby. They respect your space and privacy, but should you need anything, you need only ask. Wonderful people, wonderful home, wonderful place.
