Susan was very welcoming, sharing her home with us completely. In addition to the beautiful location, the bedroom was cosy, and there was a garden where one could eg have breakfast or read a book. We also did laundry. All in all, Susan was very friendly and flexible about everything.
My stay at Susan's island bungalow was absolutely perfect. Susan is the kind of person whom you can tell you like instantly, even from 40 feet away, as you first pull in to her driveway and she greets you with a warm, easy going friendly smile.
The photos she has posted of her place could not have prepared me for how charming and comfortable the place actually is. The room is clean and bright, with big windows that look on to a beautiful garden and french doors that open on to an to an equally beautiful little patio. Her home and its location are quiet, serene and beautiful.
The bed was fantastic - and I usually have trouble sleeping in a strange bed the first night no matter how good the bed is. Not the case here. I slept beautifully. Susan provides an immaculately clean bathroom and nice fresh clean linen and towels. She also provides coffee and tea for the morning.
I was off doing things a lot of the time I was there, but when I was at Susan's I usually had the place to myself. The couple times she was home, we had really good conversations. She is very easy to talk to and she is great company.
I had a bit of trouble finding the place, but if you follow the directions properly, you shouldn't have a problem. The confusing bit is that just as you turn off 305, there is an opportunity to take Manitou drive on your immediate right - but do not take this opportunity! Instead follow the directions faithfully and they will lead you right to her place.
This bungalow was just right right for us...a clean cozy bedroom with a private entrance, lovely gardens, great location, and a warm & gracious host...very pleased!
Had a fantastic weekend stay at Susan's island bungalow -- an adorable home decorated with sweet details, minutes away from the water and excellent views of Seattle, close to town and a very comfortable bed. Susan made us feel very welcome and gave excellent recommendations of what to do around the island. Overall, truly a great stay. Thanks Susan!
Had a great stay with Susan! A beautiful home that is typical if the area. She had snacks/breakfast waiting for me which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. Loved the room and the private entrance. Although I didn't spend much time with Susan she was a pleasure and very warm and welcoming.
My second stay at Susan's lovely home was as wonderful as the first! The house was decorated for the holidays and I was made to feel welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door. Susan had my favorite coffee fixings set out and waiting, the bed was as cozy and comfortable as I remembered - everything was perfect! I'm already looking forward to my next stay!
I had a perfect stay a Susan's beautiful wee treasure of a home tucked away in the green on Bainbridge. A most comfortable bed, ease of access, privacy and quiet!. Susan and I were both busy over the weekend; however, we did find some time to chat Saturday evening. I wish I could have spent more time with her and hope we will meet again. She is a most gracious host!
I love to travel and consider airbnb a resource for excellent accommodations. It is my goal that you have a quality experience at my home. I enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories and have discovered that "airbnbers" are some of the most interesting, lovely, and adventuresome travelers to be found.
My hosting style is to allow guests their privacy, but I am available to answer questions about the area and advise on favorite local restaurants, parks, hiking trails, or whatever needs may arise. In addition to traveling, I enjoy walks/hikes, reading, gardening, food, movies, and my work with middle schoolers; family and friends are very important to me.
