Anjali was very communicative and welcoming! She is a considerate host and made sure to think of everything we could possibly need or want during our stay.
Angeli was incredibly helpful before we even got there, checking in to make sure we understood where to go, how to check in, asking if we needed anything - wonderfully friendly.
Two girlfriends and I stayed in the upstairs unit, feels like a small cottage. Adorably decorated and very homey and comfortable.
Couldn't ask for a better location!! 1 block from amazing shopping, eating, and drinking. Go to Spin Laundry Lounge for coffee or even to eat and drink - their menu looked awesome, but great coffee and amazing staff + unique spot. Equinox for breakfast was delicious. Interurban bar was excellent. Lots of other places to check out.
Host is great; friendly, communicative and helpful. The place is very comfortable and private, and the location is right in the heart of Mississippi. I would stay again.
Anjali was great. She responded immediately when we needed the futon ready as a bed by bringing linens, etc. the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed although we did not cook while we were there. The apt. Is so close to great restaurants and the bus line. It was a great location for us. Bummer for us was the people that rented the upstairs were extremely loud at 1:30 in the am for several hours. Then since the pipes run thru the downstairs apt we could hear all the bathroom sounds too. Nice outside area available. Thanks
We had a great experience with Anjali! She was easy to get a hold of, helpful, and communicative. The house was very clean and comfortable in an amazing neighborhood. There were great restaurants, breweries, cute shops and easy access to public transit. We had a wonderful time in Portland and loved staying in the Mississippi Ave district.
Anjali iss an amazing host! Very attentive, responsive and friendly. She goes out of her way to make sure you have a good stay. The apartment is nice and has everything you need for a short or extended stay. It's right off of N Mississippi Avenue where there are a lot of restaurants and hangout spots. It is a quick trip into downtown (~ 3 miles by bike to get to the waterfront) and also to NE Alberta Street…another great area to hangout.
Yes, this is great long term place to stay if you've come to Portland to work or are already here and in between homes. It's a great place to relax and the neighborhood is fun. A healthy grocery store is 0.7 miles; a leisure walk, a quick bike ride or in your car on your way about your day! It's a snap to go just about anywhere!
This place rocks! Private, clean, and comfortable... what more could a traveler want? We found an awesome bar just around the corner with great burgers and an outdoor patio with a fire pit and live music. The bus is literally steps away with service to downtown Portland.
Anjali was very quick to respond on a same night reservation and she was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire trip. This place was a total gem!

I have such a great time hosting people from all over the world. It's like traveling while staying at home!
What's important to me as a host is that people get the most out of their stay here. Having lived here quite awhile, I am a font of info in a wide array of interests.
I love it when people feel at-home, playful and relaxed. And to see it in action, what more could a host want? For example, a guest wrote in chalk on the sidewalk in front of the house a little road map to my house and pointed to house "Paradise" How fun is that?
As a nano-bio,I am an artist, performer, RN-PhD, investor, entrepreneur, published author, host. mother, and GRAND mother. I love life and love creative expression.
Currently, my focus is upon multi-month leases, though short term stays are also graciously invited!
My property, "Mississippi Fun District", is great place to be in Portland with eats, treats and beats right around the corner. Home is secluded, yet in the middle of it all. Easy to zip around town via walk, bike, bus, light-rail, car.
My rentals are in a duplex, therefore in same building. Same address. When I am not traveling, I spend much of my time in the sunroom attached to the back end of the house and in the art studio at the back end of the property.
My raised beds grow food year around. I am part of collective that share crops. 50% of produce is shared with volunteers and a local Soup Kitchen. You may meet volunteer gardeners and pick up some gardening tips for your own garden!
I look forward to your stay here for your future travel plans to Portland!
