The Space

Two futons in the main area of the house can provide extra beds if the two in the bedrooms are not enough.

Other amenities include: basketball hoop, backs up to a park (great for small kids!), hammock, great access to green space walks, no neighbors, quick walk to bus stop, house evaporative cooler.

P.S. The amenities around our house are great for those with kids and inside we have nothing in terms of low to the ground breakables, however cabinets are not childproofed, kid dishes are limited and there is currently no high chair.

Guest Access

The house. Access to the basement is permitted to allow for laundry but is otherwise restricted.

Interaction with Guests

The house is home to cats. When we are home they are never allowed in the bedrooms. While you stay they will be closed in the basement (the only thing listed from the basement is the washer and dryer). If you are staying more than 2 days I will need to come by the house at a prearranged time to feed them.

If you want the week discount, that comes with my partitioning off the back door and mudroom so that we can access the basement without coordination or disturbance. If you choose to come and go from the front door, we still won't have any interaction between check in and check out.

For all stays I may need to access the locked detached garage and to be outside the house to take care of/water the garden and take care of the animals.

Getting around

On our block there is a Jump bus stop which will take you into Boulder.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Great place to stay. It's in a scenic area close to a park. The hosts were very nice and easy to talk to. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

  • Lovely home in a quiet area. We were delighted to watch hot air balloons rising up near the mountains while eating breakfast. Our kids loved the trampoline and short walk to the playground.
A quick drive 5-10 min to a grocery store was quite convenient as well. (Safeway, King Soopers, Sprouts within mins of each other)

Hubby and I are quite allergic to cats, but had no problems in the house with the cats sequestered in the basement.

Host Alexis is cordial, flexible and very assistive.

  • Our family stayed here for 4 days and really had a great time. Very spacious house for 4 of us (compared to hotel rooms). Kitchen is nice and well equipped. Also very central place for our visit as we visited Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder, Denver city Zoo and Pike's Peak near Colorado Springs. Safe area and convenient to shopping.
