About this listing
Spend your time in San Francisco living in a 2bdr condo on top of a hill overlooking the entire city, from Twin Peaks to the city view to Bay Bridge
While the apartment itself is quite nice, really, it's the view that kills - if there's no fog, you even get to see the top of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
Bernal Heights is in the southern part of the city, bordering the Mission district with all the nice restaurants you'd want to go to anyway. It's a 12 min walk from BART which takes you downtown in 12 minutes
And while parking in SF is always tough, garage parking in the house may be negotiated if you need it, and there's plenty of real street parking as well.
Perfect for a family with kids - 1 bedroom with queen bed for adults, one bedroom with a crib for a baby and a fold-out couch in the living that sleeps 2. So in a pinch, you can sleep 4 adults + baby if needed.
2 bedrooms - 1 adult bed, one crib
1 sun-filled living room with 2-person couch and panoramic city views
remodeled kitchen with all the fancy appliances and table
patio with breakfast table and city views
dishwasher and washing machine/dryer
2 blocks from Mission street, 2 bus stops/10min walk (6 blocks) from 24th/Mission BART stop
12 mins from Downtown by BART
ample street parking
15 minute drive to SFO; 3 miles from the Moscone Convention Center
I'll leave my SF guide books if it's your first time.
No pets or smoking please (we are allergic)
The house is on a hill - beware if you are not a walker.
Patio with panoramic city views, gas BBQ grill and table with chairs
Interaction with Guests
Happy to provide additional information about the city and things to do and see for all interests.
Great views, easy BART/bus/driving options. Plenty of great restaurants and bars within short distance. Sunnier than most other parts of San Francisco.
2 major bus lines (14 and 49) 2 blocks away, BART station (subway) is a 12 min walk, downtown is a 12 min subway ride.
Other Things to Note
Toddler friendly - comes with a crib and a collection of toys.
Climbing wall is for small kids, please spot your child. Not designed for adults - you will hit your head on the ceiling.
No smoking, no pets (we are allergic).
Please don't wear shoes in the house, especially heels - the floors are fairly soft and you'll leave a mark.
Heels will leave indentations, and dress shoes leave black scoff marks.
I walk barefoot, but there are slippers at the entrance if you prefer that.
Grill - there's a gas canister underneath, please screw it shut when you are done.
Tap water in SF comes from Hetch Hetchy reservoir in Yosemite and is safe to drink. Don't forget that CA is in a drought so please don't waste it.
Absolutely no parties. I know the place is perfect for one, and I know you'll be careful, but unless it's me throwing a party, please don't plan on having any parties at the house.
Accidents happen...if you damage something, please let me know.
Lights - to turn off just push the inside of a switch and the light will turn off. The switches are "smart" and will remember the level of light from last use, no need to "dial them down" all the way.
About the Host, Toli
Work in high-tech, do a lot of rock climbing and traveling.
I used to travel a lot for work and got really tired of staying in boring impersonal hotels - which is why i am a big fan of Airbnb.
I feel that you get a much better appreciation for the city and get a feel for what it's like to live there when you stay at someone's house and get to see their city through the eyes of a native.
I love San Francisco and would be happy to share my insider's tips with you during your stay.
