Countryside house, built traditionally with stones plus 900 qm garden including a 100 year old fig tree. We have a dog family living there - so, if you don t like dogs: no option. The house is situated in the middle of a berber village 15 km outside Essaouira, 3 km away from the local airport - only french machines directly land there, it is not yet internationalized, no noise due to different entry for the few flights. A real option for a sunny weekend when situated in Paris though!
With 15 km to the UNESCO and surfer city Essaouira (arabic for the perfect beauty), you need to rent a car during the stay. Most people do so anyway because if you like to explore the outstanding beaches and souks, moving by car is still the best option. And there are extraordinary beaches behind Sidi Kaouiki, no people and all natural, just 15 km from door to ocean!!! The Essaouira beach itself is often too crowded, it is not clean and anyway, why not leave it to the surfers when there are way better places to be with the neverending moroccan sun ;)
And if you prefer to cook at home it is more comfortable to bring your purchases home without sweating in the busses with masses of locals. It is an experience, but being dependant on those is not to be recommended!
Check out the photos to see the house and garden. It is beautifully untouched, completely natural ground, clean air gives sight to an outstanding starsky in the night, nothing but the sound of nature gives way to an outstanding intimacy with your beloved ones - and some horses if you like. Being equestrians ourselves, we have nice stables there, too: we can manage to bring our beauties to share your holiday!
What you find here is a beautiful mix of countryside and calm with the charming Mogador (pirate-period, original name of moors for Essaouira) nearby: oriental flavours and a wide range of choices for activities in the sports, wellness, adventure and city culture. Restaurants, bars and clubs: it s all there :) As well as several festivals: the well known gnawa festival (website hidden) of course, but for all lovers of the classical music - only known by insiders - the "Printemps musical des Alizés" in april is extraordinary!
