Stay with locals in Park City across the street from Park City Mountain Resort's Silver Star base area, in a private bedroom with bath that accommodates one or two people in a queen size bed. Lots of nearby activities winter or summer!
We offer a private bedroom that accommodates one or two people in a queen size bed with an organic mattress. A private bath includes a beautiful tiled shower with dual shower heads.
You'll have a dresser and large closet to yourself, and there's space on our front porch for skis, bikes and other gear.
We provide free wireless internet access. There's a flat screen TV in the room with basic cable service and a PC input port in case you want to watch your own videos.
The room is located right by our front door, to make coming and going easy. You are welcome to use our kitchen, including washer and dryer. Soak in our private hot tub after an active day, and relax in the living room, or on the deck or patio.
Interaction with Guests
In the morning we provide fresh coffee, or hot water and tea. We enjoy getting to know our guests and we're happy to introduce you to some of our favorite local spots.
Here are some of the things to do very close by:
Walk across the street to Park City Mountain Resort’s newest base area, Silver Star, where you’ll find a lift ticket office and the Silver Star lift, the quickest, least crowded way onto PCMR’s slopes. The Silver Star base is also home to a great ski/sports shop, and a cafe.
The Deer Valley and Canyons resorts are just down the road, 10 minutes by car or 30 by Park City’s free shuttle bus system. Snowbird, Alta, Brighton and Solitude are all less than an hour away by car.
Out our back door is the 5km loop of White Pine Touring’s groomed X-C ski track. Also across the street is the Spiro trailhead for snowshoe expeditions into the Wasatch Mountains.
In summertime, the X-C ski track is better known as Park City Municipal Golf course; we’re located on the 14th hole, an easy walk to the pro shop and first tee. The Spiro and Armstrong trailhead across the street links you to Park City’s 300 miles of hiking and bike trails. Silver Star Sports has mountain bike rentals or it’s a short walk to many other shops and activities.
We’re also just a few minutes' drive to backpacking in the Uintas and Wasatch ranges, and to fly-fishing on the Provo and Weber Rivers.
Other summertime activities and events include the Park Silly Sunday Market, many outdoor concerts, and the Kimball Arts Festival.
Across the street, the Silver Star Café has great food and weekly live music events. Other amenities within walking distance include Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Squatter’s Road House Grill, The Market and Fresh Market grocery stores, a huge state liquor store open ‘til 11pm, Chase Bank ATM and the Park City Mountain Resort center.
From Salt Lake airport, drive or take a quick shuttle ride for round-trip transportation right to our door. Parking at our condominium is free, but is unsheltered. We recommend the shuttle because once you’re here it’s easy to get around without a car and shoveling out your car after a major powder dump just burns skiing time.
Once you're here, walk across the street to pick up the free city bus for transportation to Park City’s Historic Main Street, Deer Valley Resort, Canyons Resort, Kimball Junction and Tanger Outlet Mall.
Other Things to Note
We have a lovable and sociable dog, but she is not allowed in the guest room (unless invited). You are welcome to take her along on your walks and hikes.
Motorcycle tourers: we own two bikes, road and adventure. We enjoy hosting bike travelers who are just passing by or want to explore some great local motorbike roads. Parking is easy just outside our front door.
Since our guest room is part of our home, we like to know a bit about our guests. If you haven't already, please take few minutes to fill in your Airbnb profile, including picture, and verify your credentials with Airbnb.
WHILE YOU'RE HERE
We’re a non-smoking house – no smokers or drugs, please! Alcohol is fine; we enjoy good wine and we'll be happy to introduce you to a few of our local micro-breweries.
We only wish we could have stayed longer! Dave & Jenny have a wonderful condo in Park City. Super convenient for skiing, the bus is just steps away and easy transports you to the hustle and bustle of Main St. Most importantly, their rustic, modern condo was the perfect oasis for any and all time in between. Plus, we were able to bring our dog to hang with Pache!
David and Jenny were wonderful hosts. Their place is great - clean, less than 200 yards from the chairlift, hot tub. We really enjoyed ourselves and plan to be back. We also enjoyed sharing conversation with David, Jenny, and of course, Pache.
Dave and Jenny were just fantastic, they really make you feel as though you are truly "at home." We had such a great time chatting with them and learning about Park City, they are great people. The location of the place is amazing, a 1 minute walk to a private lift at Park City, you can't beat it. The room was great, very clean and the bathroom is awesome. The hot tub really was a great way to cap off an amazing day of skiing. If we are back in Park City, we will be at Dave and Jenny's place for sure.
David & Jenny were the best hosts! The room comes straight out of a 4 star hotel which includes a queen size bed, flat screen tv w/ cable, wifi, closet, thermostat, boot warmers, full bathroom & it's located right next to front door. They provide full access to kitchen w/ pots/pans, fridge storage & utensils. The unit also has a full jacuzzi on their porch which we didn't take advantage of but will in the future. They were so hospitable & joined us for dinner in their lovely dining area sharing with us their stories. Thanks for having us & hope you welcome us again David & Jenny!
David & Jenny are a very welcoming, relaxed and flexibel couple! I felt right at home. The room is spacious and the bathroom is en suite. Their dog Pace is very friendly. Even though I didn´t have time to ski - the slopes are just 5 minutes walk away, so next time I have to take a day to try it as well! There is a free shuttle stop 2 min from the house, but most of the time I walked (around 12 min to The Yarrow and 25min to the old City Center/Main St). The best: on my last night they invited some friends over for a film salon - we had great dinner and talks. Would love to stay there again!
Thanks Dave and Jenny for making my first AirBnB stay a pleasurable experience. Their home is in walking distance (with skis) to Silver Star lift at Park City and close to FREE bus transportation, which goes almost everywhere in the Park City area. The room and accommodations were warm and comfortable and the hosts were kind and helpful. I hope to visit again soon.
This was our first time staying at an Airbnb and we couldn't have had a better first experience. David and Jenny had everything set-up for us when we arrived and made us feel at home. Before we arrived, they sent us a great document with directions, information on the ski-resorts, restaurants, and much more. We utilized this to help make the most of our vacation and tried many of the restaurants they recommended - all of which we would highly recommend and go to again! (High West Distillery, Mustang, Vinto, Atticus, Silver Star Cafe, and Takashi (in SLC) Pache (the family dog) greeted us every time we came back home. The location is absolutely perfect and has easy access to the local free-bus system. We loved being able to take a 3 minute walk and be on the Silver Star lift for our day of boarding at Park City. We enjoyed spending an hour one evening getting to know Jenny and David a little better over a glass of wine. Each morning they would prepare coffee and/or tea for us. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot-tub after each long day of snowboarding. Again, Jenny and David made this an amazing first experience with AirBnB and we couldn't have hoped for a better location. Excited to come back to Park City in the future!
Park City locals and fun hosts who enjoy outdoor activities, art, reading and traveling "through the back door". We like relaxing with a margarita or glass of wine after a great day in the mountains!
We're easygoing travelers who try to live like locals when we're on the road. We love to explore for those fun and unique experiences that make the trip memorable.
