When we arrived at Weeping Ttree Cottage, Lynn and Tony welcomed us wholeheartedly and were very considerate hosts. Special mention to Kota was also very polite and considerate of all guests. Kira, Xana & Sonny were a delight. We stayed only three days. We left Cairns with new friends and felt sorry we had to go back to Adelaide.
Weeping Ttree Cottage is an exceptionally lovely place but it is so much more than just a B&B - it definitely has that feel of a home, well-loved and thriving in its warmth. The neighborhood was peaceful yet close to shops, restaurants, cafes, walking trails and the Botanic Garden. Public transport was easy to access from their place.
Lynn and Tony make the place special with their experienced hosting and wealth of knowledge about Cairns that they willingly share with all the guests. They have a fantastic sense of humor and we shared a few laughs - that was really good!
Thank you again for your hospitality, your company and sharing your wonderful home with Phil and I. We would love to come back to here. And would love to keep in touch. Good luck on all your future plans! We hope to hear some good news. :)
Lynn and Tony are very experienced hosts, through airbnb and other means, so their set up catered for our every whim. I particularly enjoyed the al fresco kitchen and dining area next to the small but picturesque swimming pool. Lynn helped me by printing my boarding pass: small stuff that makes a difference. Great venue: we were lucky to catch you before you go!
Lynn and Tony's place was exactly as described and in a great location near cafés and small restaurants all within walking distance. They were very welcoming and helpful and even picked us up at the airport and gave a us a lift in to town on more than one occasion. The outdoor kitchen was very well equipped and was a lovely place to relax after a long day of site seeing and hiking. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They really went above and beyond! Thank you so much and best of luck to you in your future projects!
We loved our stay at WeepingTtree cottage - it had the feel of a tropical resort, with the comforts of home! Lynn and Tony made us feel so welcome; with friendly conversation, a charming room and clean facilities - not to mention the awesome breakfast!
We recommend this B&B, and would definitely stay again.
The Hibiscus room looks exactly like in the pictures and was very spacious and clean. We had our own bathroom that we shared with one other guest. There's also a separate kitchen with all facilities that you share with all other guests so it's a great way of meeting other people if you like. The kitchen has all facilities and enough space to store your own food safely away. There's a swimming pool that you can use. Tony and Lynn were very hospitable and offered us a ride twice to places nearby but would have been far for walking so we greatly appreciated that. It's a lovely B&B and we would go back there when we come back to Cairns.
Fantastic hosts! Very welcoming and helpful. The house is lovely and my bed was very comfortable. Easy to get to and from the centre of Cairns and up to the northern beaches. I had a great stay.
It was absolutely wonderful staying at Tony and Lynn's! From the moment they picked us up at the airport to when they dropped us off (at 4:45 in the morning!), we felt completely safe and welcome. Tony and Lynn went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. The house is in Edge Hill, which is a little bit away from the city center, but it's a short bus ride to the city center, and the bus stop is right on the adjacent street.

About the Host, Tony And Lynn
We are a fun loving retired couple who love sharing our home with family and visitors alike. I (Lynn) have been hosting international students for the past 24 years. Tony is new to hosting (only 7 years) and is loving it too. We enjoy being ambassadors for our region of which we are very proud.
We enjoy rock n roll dancing and entertaining guests. We often have friends and family visit for bar-b-ques or dinner parties.
I (Lynn) love cooking and trying new recipes.
Between us we have travelled extensively. Some of our favourite places are Canada, Uluru (Ayres Rock), Japan, Tasmania and cruising the South Pacific.
We love going to musicals especially those produced by our Local Choral Society.Tony (being a bit of a revhead) loves attending the local speedway. I am learning to enjoy this sport too. We enjoy watching any sport (mainly on television) which includes our local or Australian Teams e.g. Tennis, Basketball, Cricket and Football. We have recently attended the Brisbane International Tennis. What an amazing time we had. 50's 60's music is our favourite dance music. You will often hear this music played throughout the day.
While staying with us you can enjoy as much privacy as you wish or you can join us at anytime including mealtimes to share your days activities or just talking.
Chatting about our beautiful country is something we enjoy immensely and we love hearing about your countries too.
Giving you information on beautiful places to see and things to do while you are staying with us is what we love to do.
We look forward to hearing from you soon and we can enjoy each others company in a beautiful piece of paradise.
