Only steps away from the beach, hear the waves at night.
A Quiet, private bungalow surrounded by a protected garden and birds in a sweet little neighbourhood.
Simple, basic , rustique. In one of the most beautiful areas of the island.
Ideal for couple, or writers retreat. All amenities included. Small kitchen, refrigerator, toaster oven, blender, Bathroom, wifi, iphone station, towels, beachtowels and bedding etc.
There is a queensize bed and a single bed.
For shopping is Kilauea town about 10 minutes away and Kapaa 15 minutes away. ( by car) For wonderful smoothies, breakfast and lunch drive up the hill 5 minutes for the Moloaa Fruitstand.
Moloaa Bay is a minute walk away and is perfect for snorkling and swimming on both ends. There is also a beautiful hiking area up the cliffs.
The microclimate in this particular area is unique. It has much less rain then Kilauea and Kapaa, and even a little further up the hillside. Pretty much always nice and sunny but never to hot.
Beautiful quaint neighborhood. Quiet pristine beach. Beautiful hiking on the cliffs.
Bus stop about 35 minute walk up the hill.
The location is fantastic. Albeit, a bit hard to find in the dark (Kauai doesn't really have street lights). (website hidden) maps takes you to a empty lot. If you keep heading down almost to where the road dead-ends, you will find it. Christel did not answer the few times when I called for clarification. It is a 2 minute walk to one of the better beaches in Kauai and you can even hear the ocean from the house. The kitchenette is well equipped. The bathroom is a bit rundown. I would definitely come back for a few days, but I would not spend my entire vacation. It airs more on the side of fancy camping rather than relaxing carefree vacation.
We had a great time at the Beach Bungalow, it was very private and close to the beach. You feel like you are sleeping outside with all the lush jungle surroundings yet in a comfy warm bed, we loved the nights when it rained. We also loved the fruit stand at the end of the road.
This place is all it seems from the website and much more. Its so close to the beach you can hear the waves breaking, and just a short walk away. There is a lovely yard and garden, very private and wild. Christel and her family are attentive and welcoming. Thank you so much for the hospitality and for be open to the experience of hosting guests.
Great neighborhood, remote and romantic location, great responsiveness from host via email. The unit itself is a bit rustic for comfort, reflected in the low price.
We just left the bungalow yesterday and I miss it already! A very unique place to stay-- you really feel like you are sleeping in a lush greenhouse. Great air flow as the walls are mostly screen, perfect for the climate here. The bungalow is on its own private lot surrounded by garden and tropical plants, so feels private despite the screen walls. The beach is very near to the house, and is gorgeous and quiet (at least in Dec, when we visited). You can hear the surf when the tide is high, along with coconuts falling and wild roosters scratching.
Christel was very nice and hands off as a host, which we appreciated. We felt like we had the place to ourselves for the 4 nights we spent there.
The bungalow is quite rustic -- you are basically outside. If you like that idea, this place is for you!
We had a great time at the Beach Bungalow. Christel is a very friendly host. She met us the day we checked in to ensure we got in OK and answer any questions we may have. The Bungalow is just as described, cute and clean.
It`s only steps from a wonderful beach which we enjoyed much.
What a wonderful way to start our first Hawaii experience! We love staying off the beaten path and this place delivers. The place is rustic and you feel tucked away in the jungle. A stones throw from the beach, it was a perfect jumping off point to drive north or south. We loved having the kitchenette and we made most of our meals, as well as making good use of the blender. Fresh fruit rum cocktails wasn't a tough way to end each day. If you want to get a taste of life on the island this is a good place to start.
