Interaction with Guests
I say hello to guests and then let them do their thing. I do live just across the street, so I'm almost always on hand and am always happy to help with recommendations.
I love how self-contained the neighborhood is. Some days there is no reason to get in a car. There are often neighborhood parties going on up at Barista Parlour or the Groove record shop. We're quite close to downtown and other nice areas such as 12 South, Germantown and the Gulch. I also love going down to the Shelby Bottoms Greenway (just five minutes away) to jog along the river or ride one of the free bikes provided by the nature center.
The bus stop is a three minute walk away and runs downtown every 15 minutes. I would say I usually prefer taking a ride service such as Uber or Lyft, which are cheap and plentiful around here.
Other Things to Note
Rental Rate includes almost 16 percent in taxes including:
Tennessee Sales Tax of 9.25%

This is a neighborhood of old houses with old windows, so even loud conversation from the front porch late at night can keep neighbors awake. Please no loud music/parties, and thanks for being mindful of this.
The listing perfectly depicts the space! We loved it! The neighborhood is old being made new. You could see the work being done to update houses up and down the street. Easy walking distance to area eats, which were kindly sketched out for us on a map, and quick drive to downtown. J Wes checked on us shortly after arrival, made sure we had what we needed, and that was that. He was handy if we needed him, but everything was very straightforward.
Wes was great and the house was even better! Perfect accommodations for 11 girls for a bachelorette get away. Truly made this trip absolutely perfect!!! Highly suggested!!
Nashville was amazing, Wes's East Nashville Bungalow was perfect, as was Wes! So lovely and helpful. It is exactly as described and others rave about. Wes is a fabulous host, the house was charming, immaculate, full of information. Great neighborhood, great city....only wish we could have stayed longer!!
We were three girls on a road trip, culminating in see the Rolling Stones in Nashville. Having a charming & comfy casa with great kitchen, laundry, towels! and back yard was the best after coming off the road. Truly everything was great, perfect location for what we wanted to do. Close to downtown, LP Stadium and East Nashville is a gem. Check out the 5 Spot (loved it)! Go visit Nashville and book at one of Wes's fab properties.
The house was completely perfect. It looked EXACTLY as pictured and couldn't have been more gorgeous. Everyone in my group was ooing and ahhing over the decor and attention to detail. The beds were comfortable, and the backyard was wonderful to hang out in. There was even a feline guest there to greet us at the door, which we affectionately named Binx Zachary. J was welcoming and warm to us, and really is the perfect host. There to help when you need him, but lets you have your space if you'd like that as well. I would recommend this home to anyone and everyone, and I certainly hope to be back here myself. I wish our stay had been longer than only one night!
J. Wes was prompt and courteous in communicating whenever we needed to find out information regarding his house. We found the house clean and tidy for the four adults that stayed overnight. The place was central and just what we needed. Great place!
Awesome house. We had a great time, J West had great communication. The listing is exactly what you get!
