We live in the heart of the central city & prefer to walk or bike whenever possible. We enjoy interesting conversation over a meal and a nice glass of wine. Staying with us means you'll be welcomed as a friend and experience the city as a local.
Our vintage-eclectic home is on the second floor of a multi-family Craftsman. It's an apartment with character that you'd expect to find in a Craftsman from the 1900s: vaulted ceilings, crown molding and hardwood floors.
Your room is private with a full-sized bed (double, not Queen), and space in the closet and dresser for you to store your belongings during your stay. One thing to be aware of is that our one bathroom is Jack-and-Jill style (shared & connected to our master room).
Don't worry, we have modern amenities! Your stay with us will include full house privileges to a full kitchen, a large & airy dining room, living room with large-screen TV, Apple TV and Netflix, DVD/Blue Ray player (no cable), a large outdoor balcony, washer & dryer, central heat & air (a luxury in an older home) and Wifi.
Interaction with Guests
We are usually home and willing to socialize as much as our guests would like, and we always let guests know about our availability if it turns out we won't be around.
You are welcome to join us for dinner or wine on the balcony (when the weather is nice). If you prefer a quiet night alone in your room, that's ok too!
We are situated on a tree-lined street that is walking distance from a plethora of independent coffee shops, restaurants, parks, the state Capitol, or an easy bike ride to Old Sacramento or the river.
We are around the corner from one of the city's most-loved local coffee houses and yoga studios. Within two blocks in any direction you can find just about any type of food or entertainment you're looking for.
We also know the central city very well and are happy to help you find your way.
We are close to just about everything you'd want to do in Sacramento! It's easy to walk or bike. If you need to get farther, there are cabs and shuttles but also Lyft and Uber (check them out online/via an app on your mobile device).
If you have your own car, street parking is free with use of our visitor's permit. We are a short 15 minute drive from the airport, and 20 blocks (30 min walking/5 min driving) from the train station.
-No smoking and no pets (we have a cat).
-No parties unless you check with us first. We love to host and meet new people, so please just ask if you'd like to have friends over.
-Absolutely no over-night guests who are not a part of your AirBnB reservation.
-Please ask about kids.
-We simply ask for the common courtesy of a shared living situation with roommates. Thank you!
They were fantastic! The place was clean and right in the heart of a really great area. I'd definitely stay here again!
Janna and Jeremy are great hosts with a really great location. The room was nicely set up, they have everything I needed for a short weekend stay.
Had a great time here, the host have a cool house in the middle of the best part of sacremento . I would stay here again in a heart beat.
My friend and I had a lovely stay here while we attended a conference in town. Janna & Jeremy were very accommodating and friendly--exemplary hosts. And Sydney is a lovely cat! We would definitely stay here again.
I absolutely loved staying at Janna and Jeremy's place. We hit it off immediately. It was nice to come home from a long day to have such a fun and engaging conversation. The room is quiet, which is very important to me. Midtown is such an adorable area, just minutes from downtown Sacramento. I hope I get to stay here again soon!
We are two of the biggest proponents of Sacramento you'll meet -- think this town isn't cool? We'll show you differently.

We are independent business people who work for ourselves and our schedules are very flexible. Sometimes we work from home all day, other times we set up shop at ThinkHouse Collective, a coworking space that we own and operate together.
Beyond that, I (Janna) am a publisher/editor who is passionate about personal storytelling. My husband Jeremy is a film buff (snob), and we have quite the DVD collection. We also have a cat named Sydney, who's one of those cats with more of a dog-like personality: friendly to all and always looking for attention.
