We are two of the biggest proponents of Sacramento you'll meet -- think this town isn't cool? We'll show you differently.
We live in the heart of the central city and prefer to walk or bike whenever possible. We enjoy interesting conversation over a good meal and a nice glass of wine. Staying with us means you'll be welcomed as a friend and experience the city as a local.
Our vintage-eclectic home is on the 2nd floor of a multi-family Craftsman. It's an apartment with character that you'd expect to find in a Craftsman from the 1900s: vaulted ceilings, crown molding and hardwood floors.
Don't worry, we have modern amenities! Your stay with us will include full house privileges to a full kitchen, a large & airy dining room, living room with large-screen TV, Apple TV and Netflix, DVD/Blue Ray player (no cable), a large outdoor balcony, washer & dryer, central heat & air (a luxury in an older home) and Wifi.
Your room is private with a full-sized bed (double, not Queen), and space in the closet and dresser for you to store your belongings during your stay. One thing to be aware of is that our one bathroom is Jack-and-Jill style. You will also have free street parking with use of our visitor's permit.
We are situated on a tree-lined street that is walking distance from a plethora of independent coffee shops, restaurants, parks, the state Capitol, or an easy bike ride to Old Sacramento or the river. We also know the central city very well and are happy to help you find your way.
Janna and Jeremy are awesome, and their place is in a quiet but conveniently-located part of midtown. I'd highly recommend for people traveling to Sacramento.
Jeremy was a great host and went out of his way to make my stay comfortable and worry free.
Wonderful hosts with a super friendly cat. (try going into laundry room behind the kitchen where the kittys food is stored... the kitty will go nuts!) I stayed here to take the bar exam so I didn't get to hangout in Sacramento. If my brain didn't feel like scrambled eggs I definitely would have had a glass of wine with Janna and Jeremy or tried some of the places they recommended. Everything was very nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again, hopefully next time under more favorable circumstances.
Janna and Jeremy are hip, gracious, and laid-back hosts. I appreciated how accommodating they were about my arrival and departure times. The flat is perfectly situated and their accommodations are clean, comfortable, and happy-making. Sydney the cat also helps in the happy-making department. (She’s as cozy and stylish as her surroundings.) Beyond their roles as hospitable hosts, Janna and Jeremy are interesting and engaged individuals. They’re both fonts of information about the Midtown Sacramento scene, and they're involved in interesting and worthwhile projects. I really enjoyed talking with them.
Janna and Jeremy were the most gracious hosts. I was a little shy at first but they made me feel right at home. We even shared a bottle of wine at the end of the evening, and they sent me away with a bottle too! Their cat is really beautiful and friendly and the room is incredibly comfortable and cozy. I would definitely go back!
Great hosts. Very accommodating.
The unit is beautiful, and the room is comfortable. Janna is a good communicator and host. They do a great job of setting up the room, and I appreciated the travel toiletry items they left out.
Janna and Jeremy were fantastic hosts! They accommodated a last-minute reservation (about two hours before arrival) and a check-in time bordering the midnight hour. They gave fantastic dinner suggestions and they're involved with some really neat stuff in the community.
The room was amazing, and looks exactly like it does in the pictures! It was clean, as was the rest of the house. Midtown is a fantastic place to stay, as there is everything you could ever want within walking distance. During our three block walk to Lucky Cafe, I believe we spotted a hair salon, work out center, a bank, and several other useful stores.
Overall, Shanna and I were incredibly happy our stay and are definitely planning on staying here again next time we're in Sacramento.
Charming friendly. Jeremy let me play one of his guitars while we jammed on the other. Janna is the editor/publisher of an excellent literary mag. Great people; good vibes; friendly times.
Janna and Jeremy were excellent hosts. Their home is cozy and is in a great location. We especially appreciated their tips and recommendations.
