Située dans un superbe et calme quartier de la Kasbah de Tanger , La Maison d’hôtes Albarnous se caractérise par son raffinement dans le choix de sa décoration et la qualité de ses matériaux . Un hammam et Terrasse avec vue imprenable.

The space

Ryad Albarnous is not a classic hotel, is a private home that offers to its guests a personalized service where the elegance of a traditional Moroccan house (zellige of Fèz floors, tadellakt walls) lives in harmony with the Italian design and the careful choice of furnishings.
Located in the heart of Tangier’s Kasbah, within a stone’s throw from the Marabout Ben Ajiba (portrayed by Henri Matisse), Dar Albarnous is the ideal starting point to discover the beauties of “Tingis”, as the Romans called it.
From its panoramic terraces you can enjoy a privileged view of the city and its wide bay, to encompass the Straits of Gibraltar and the coast of southern Spain.
This charming riad has five bedrooms: three double rooms, one room with two single beds and one suite, all comfortable, tastefully decorated, with private bathroom, and provided with air conditioning, heating and safety box.
In addition to the terraces, two large common rooms and a gorgeous Moroccan Hammam beldi – with the possibility of scrub au “savon noir” and massages with essential oils made from Argan – will be at your disposal to make your stay even more relaxing.

The bed and breakfast is nicely furnished and located right in the casbah at the highest point of the medina (the old, walled part of the city). We arrived via the ferry from Spain and we should have taken a taxi to the casbah, but we instead walked through the steep, winding alleys of the medina. We were swarmed by persistent offers to help us to our hotel. After our chaotic arrival, we were pleasantly surprised when the hotel's manager introduced us to a young local guide named Hakeem. We felt much safer and ultimately saw much more of the city under Hakeem's guidance. Overall the hotel was comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

I did not have the chance to meet Farida in person. Nevertheless, she was nice on the phone and gave me clear indications about her riad. Once there, a very nice guy welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable. He made our stay very pleasant and easy. The riad is well located and is charming. The rooms are nicely decorated and the common spaces are big and comfortable. The view from the rooftop is amazing - the mint tea going with it is priceless! Thank you Farida and thank you to the guy welcoming us - our stay was great, we will definitely come back to this riad!

We really enjoyed our stay in Tangier! The hotel was beautiful, as was the view from the top deck. The rooms were comfortable and spacious; a great respite after a long day walking in the city. The breakfast was also delicious, we really enjoyed the fresh olives and cheese!

A beautiful Riad at the very top of the medina, so a lovely location with beautiful views across Tangier and over to Spain. The space is so well designed with lovely common parts, very comfortable sitting room with lovely furnishings and great playlists of music. Breakfast on the roof terrace was different each day and delicious. We had an excellent Hamam there. Staff are really helpful and kind, they could work on their restaurant recommendations though. A very good place to stay.
