During my six years as an Airbnb host, with 22 amazing guests in my home, I have never had a guest that even remotely has been as strange as these ones. Very, very odd people… And not the kind of guests I would wish for anyone.
As a host, I am truly happy to offer my home and to provide necessities and essentials for my dear guests visiting Sweden. After these guests had left, I was stunned to see that they so completely had emptied all stocks of toilet paper, household paper, washing-up liquid, washing powder, shampoo etc etc. Everything was gone! And I mean completely empty!
Also, I still find things missing and hidden away that obvisously broke during their stay (silver necklace, a large vase, a knob on a bedroom table etc) . And despite a kind question from my part whether they had had any problems during their stay, or if something broke, they denied any knowledge of that.
With regards to their comment above on the wifi, there was clear instructions about the set-up and the possibility to buy more data if the data provided is not sufficient (instructions are found both here at Airbnb as well as on a note on the kitchen table in the house). However, the guest claims that it is some kind of unfair set-up on my side, and refused to refund the cost for the extra data traffic they purchased and used. Not a big cost but a gesture showing respect to me by followwing the house rules that are a condition for which I allow my guest to enjoy my house.
Having guests like this leaves me with a sad feeling, but I am now expecting another 22 fabulous guests from all over the world! So a warm welcome to my house!
