Two rooms in cosy house

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · McKee Road, Dublin, Dublin, Ireland

The Space

I live on the northside of Dublin in a three bedroom house. My rooms are available to rent separately or together if there are 2-3 people. I have a double room with a double bed and a small single room with a single bed. There is a bathroom that is shared with a power shower that has hot water all day long. These rooms may suit a visiting family(parents and one child) or two-three friends!

I live in a quiet residential area that is close to shops, post office, banks, supermarkets, pubs, local parks and a local bus route that leads you straight to the city centre

I live very close to the airport-around a ten minute taxi journey.

I live close to the botanic gardens and the city centre is 6km away from me by bus which takes about 20-30 minutes depending on what time of the day you take it. Peak time it will always take longer as the traffic is quite bad in Dublin. Off Peak is way better and will reach the city centre a lot quicker from my house if you go at this time. The bus leaves you very close to Trinity College, Grafton Street and all the main shopping areas plus temple bar

I am very used to hosting people at this stage and i believe i am quite in tune with what people look for from a home stay. There is Wi-Fi, fresh linen and towels, a continental breakfast, washing machine and a kitchen. There is also a tv downstairs and a tv in the double room

Before you make a reservation-could you let me know what time you are arriving at as i need to know if i can be here to greet you!

  • Joanne is a great girl. She makes you feel at home and does her best to solve the problems I had. The room is tiny but comfortable. The location is quite good. The bus stops nearly in front of the house and brings you straight towards the city center of Dublin. I enjoy the stay there and I would recommend the B&B to friends and family.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Hi,
It was a really really nice double bedroom. I love it! Clean, warm, quiet and good designed. The bed is really cozy. The owner is a good woman, very kind and easy-going. I love the breakfast there with all kinds of good cereal and bread, coffee, etc. Was really good and I will choose this one next time as well.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Joanne's place. She has a lovely cosy home and is a very open, nice and helpful host.
The room I stayed in is great with a big and not to soft bed (my back says thank you) and a lot of space to store your clothes.
And the bus stops from which you can get into city centre and back are just a few metres away. It takes about 20-25 min. when the traffic is light.
I will definately be back. See you Joanne!

  • Joanna was a very warm, welcoming host and I really enjoyed my time in Dublin thanks to her guidance and hospitality. The room is small but cozy, and the house is very open. Joanne was very helpful, even picking me up from the airport, explaining the bus system (EASILY accessed from the house), and recommending things to do. I'm happy to have met Joanne and hope to see her again someday! All the best! xx

  • Joanne was a warm and welcoming host. I had the flu when I was staying with her and she went out of her way to make me feel at home and comfy. She had great information and the room was exactly what the photos say. She even went out of her way to drive me to my next destination after leaving her. I would 100% recommend her, for all travelers.

Social Worker
Hi there, I'm Joanne. I live in a cosy 3 bedroom house on the Northside of the city which is close to all amenities such as supermarkets, post office, dry cleaners, newsagents, banks etc My house is relatively close enough to the city centre which is only a bus ride away. I've been living in Dublin all my life so i know the city very well. In saying that though i love to travel and have been to may places such as south east Asia, U.S.A, south america, Iceland, Finland and most of mainland I would consider myself well traveled which has allowed me to become more open minded about different cultures and ways of life. In particular i have a strong affiliation with Spanish and love the Spanish language and way of life as i lived in Spain for a number of months. I am used to hosting people and really enjoy it. I work as a Social Worker in the area of Family Mediation-this line of work has led me to become quite open minded and unshockable(!) over the years and therefore i would consider myself quite easygoing. My house is small enough but there is plenty of room for one or two more. It is located in a residential area which is quiet and outside of the city centre. I have walked into the city centre from time to time which has taken around 50 minutes-the best way to get in though is by bus or to cycle. I love to cook, bake and in general i love food so i am well frequented with the restaurants in dublin city. I love comedy, good wine and a good night out so i would know the social hot spots quite well and can always direct you to a bar or establishment that would suit your needs if that is what you enjoy. I look forward to meeting you!
