  • Great stay at Sharon's! Her mom was really helpful with coordinating keys and Sharon is very friendly. The place is conveniently located and really very spacious for NYC. Since it's a basement there's no outside light, which makes it really easy to sleep at night, you don't hear any street noise or anything.

  • My best friend and I stayed with Sharon for one month. This was my first AirBnb experience and I was very sceptical of the entire process. However, Sharon made it easy from the moment I enquired with a list of questions all the way through to our stay.

Sharron was a fantastic host. She had a beautiful room set out downstairs with a double bed and separate toilet. This room was incredibly spacious with a double robe and plenty of hanging space. Just a quick note, there is no window so you won't have any natural light or air however there was an air purifier and air conditioner installed. This wasn't such a bother, only that we at times would slept late as there was no natural light to wake us up - this could be a personal thing but worth a quick mention.

Sharon was very warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Her mum is an angel and was also a frequent visitor during our stay - She would often wash our sheets/towels and redo the room while we were out which was a pleasant surprise to come home to after a big day in be city.

I must admit of first arriving I was very sceptical of the area and a little taken a back. However, after only a few days I was settled in and was comfortable enough to venture a few blocks around the neighbourhood. The location is in Bed Sty and about a five minute walk to the closest subway. You will need to take two subways if you want to travel into Manhattan and takes around 40mins depending on the train schedule - this isn't a complicated trip though same platform for both trains.

Sharon was very clean and her apartment was well kept. She often worked late so sometimes we missed her during the day but she was still so helpful and always contactable by mobile phone. She was very accommodating of our needs and even had a blow up single bed for a third guest for one week.

If you are looking for a room with space and a home feeling this is your place. Having full use of the kitchen, bathroom and Netflix was a cherry on top. Thankyou to Sharon and her mum for looking after us and making our month stay easy and comfortable. I would highly recommend Sharon to any AirBnb guests.

    Response from Sharon:

You're very welcome Chelsea! You and Danni were both super special to me because you stayed the longest any other of my airbnb guests have, which was nice because we got the chance to bond a bit. I wish you girls safe journeys and hopefully a quick return to NY :-)

  • This is a fantastic room and looks exactly like the picture. It is also great to have a private half bathroom. Of course there is full access to full bathroom and kitchen (shared with host Sharon). Everything is sparkling clean. Sharon is just a great, fun, vibrant and a wonderful host. She is very easy to communicate with and always answers any questions you may have. Her mom is equally nice and sometimes checks guests in when Sharon is not available. If you have trouble with knees or hips or walking related it is good to realize that there is 1 flight of stairs up to the apartment and two flights of stairs down to the room. It was an overall great experience.

Hey there Air BnB fam. So excited to meet you and hear all about what brings you to NYC. My goal is to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and show you why you should love NYC as much as I do! As for me, so we don't feel like total strangers upon 1st meet, here's a little of my world: I work as a registered nurse at one if NYC's top rated hospitals. For fun, I explore the different arenas of dance, SALSA being my #1 addiction at the moment. I have performed at different showcases, and traveled abroad to Cuba to study Afro-cuban styles. I love cultural exchanges, anything have to do with the arts, freedom of expression, free thinking, and women empowerment. Avid traveler- have traveled to Spain, Israel, Ghana, Peru,PR, DR twice, Cuba twice (1st time for college, 2nd dance program)....much more to hit on the buckletlist (Brazil and thailand #1). 5 things I can't live without are seafood, dance, knowledge/books, my mom (more of a bestie than a parent) and friends. 2 life mottos I live by: ~ Your growth is limitless, forever seek knowledge never stop learning! ~Love without depending, Speak without offending, Listen without defending, Live without pretending.
