Sharon was super responsive from the start of the reservation process to ensuring I returned home safely after staying at her place. Everything in the duplex is accurately represented by the listing's descriptions and photos, but it leaves out how accommodating Sharon is as a host. I arrived in NYC in the early hours of the morning via a red-eye flight, and Sharon was very flexible in coordinating my check-in accordingly. The bedroom was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the space was roomy. The location of the unit is convenient; a lot of restaurants and bars are within walking distance and stations for the G and C lines are close by.
Sharon was very nice with us and was a great. The apartment was exactly as described, very clean, tidy and chic. It had all the comforts needed for a good stay.
There are nice cafés, bakeries etc. in the neighborhood. The subway is relatively close, connection to Manhattan is good.
We only met Sharon once (and she was very friendly), but she was very good about communicating with us over email. She also was helpful and worked with our late check-out on the last day. The hair dryer did not work and the toilet was a bit problematic, but overall the apartment was good–very clean, just like the pictures.
Hi Andrew, thanks for leaving feedback. I do welcome all feedback and always looking for ways to improve. Can you tell me what you mean by the toilet was problematic? Was it not flushing for you? To all future guests, please keep in mind that most home toilets will be affected buy the amount of toilet paper you put in. Please be gentle and if you have to use large amounts of toilet paper, dispose of it in garbage bin next to toilet.
To all future guests, please keep in mind that your bedroom includes 1 firm queen sized bed as pictured in the pictures. The extra bed that Marta is talking about is a BLOW UP air bed that I add upon your request. I did mention this in the description. The extra bed will feel a little differently from the queen size bed because it is an air mattress as compared to a standard mattress.
My stay at Sharon's home in Brooklyn was great! The room in her apartment was spacious, as described and clean. Her entire apartment was extremely tidy, and Sharon herself made me feel welcome at all times. She was super accommodating and friendly and was quick to provide recommendations for exploring the neighborhood. The neighborhood itself has a lot of great bars/restaurants and is close to the G train.
Sharon was awesome! She made me feel at home right away. She was accommodating, helpful, cheerful, and genuinely interested in making sure I had a pleasant visit to New York. At no time did I feel uncomfortable about sharing the common areas, and I felt very comfortable about the arrangement at all times.
The sleeping quarters were spacious, very private with its own bathroom. The bed and linens were extremely comfortable. The entire apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, and just a great space to be in. Trust me, this place is such a bargain and Sharon is so cool, don’t even hesitate!
Sharon is a wonderful host, very friendly and responsive and also gives you as much privacy as you want. Her home is just as pictured and described; clean, welcoming, comfortable, and spacious. I would definitely recommend Sharon and her home.!
Hey there Air BnB fam. So excited to meet you and hear all about what brings you to NYC. My goal is to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and show you why you should love NYC as much as I do!
As for me, so we don't feel like total strangers upon 1st meet, here's a little of my world: I work as a registered nurse at one if NYC's top rated hospitals. For fun, I explore the different arenas of dance, SALSA being my #1 addiction at the moment. I have performed at different showcases, and traveled abroad to Cuba to study Afro-cuban styles. I love cultural exchanges, anything have to do with the arts, freedom of expression, free thinking, and women empowerment. Avid traveler- have traveled to Spain, Israel, Ghana, Peru,PR, DR twice, Cuba twice (1st time for college, 2nd dance program)....much more to hit on the buckletlist (Brazil and thailand #1). 5 things I can't live without are seafood, dance, knowledge/books, my mom (more of a bestie than a parent) and friends.
2 life mottos I live by:
~ Your growth is limitless, forever seek knowledge never stop learning!
~Love without depending, Speak without offending, Listen without defending, Live without pretending.
