Casa Terrãço is a restored traditional stone house that combines the unique charm of a centuries-old structure with modern comfort. The house features an open floor plan on the first level with a fully equipped kitchen and living space that offers unobstructed ocean views through a three-meter glass door. The top floor contains a spacious bedroom that opens to a large private terrace, providing breathtaking views of the ocean.

The space
The house features one bedroom, making it ideal for two guests. A sofa bed in the living area provides additional sleeping space for a third person. However, please note that due to the open floor plan, there are no doors separating the bedroom from the living area.

We strongly recommend renting a car to explore the island, as grocery stores, beaches, and hiking trails are not within walking distance. The airport and Funchal are 1 hour away.

Our property is nestled on a breathtaking cliffside, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and offering unparalleled views of the ocean. Staying here means immersing yourself in a truly unique location where tranquillity and adventure meet.

All of our houses have been lovingly rebuilt from the ruins of traditional Madeiran stone houses, using mostly natural and local materials. Everything has been handcrafted with great care and a deep respect for the surroundings, so please don't expect perfection, but rather authenticity, charm, and a lot of heart and soul. Because we are immersed in nature and work with natural materials, it's possible that you may encounter insects or the occasional lizard inside the house. It’s all part of being this close to nature.

The driveway leading to the house is quite steep and may not be suitable for weaker vehicles. If you feel unsure about driving down, you can park your car on the street above and take the stairs down to the property.

Please be aware that our property features traditional stone pathways and uneven stone stairs, which are not suitable for individuals with limited mobility and small children.

During winter season, December–March: Winters in Madeira can get very rainy and humid: Please note that the house does not have central heating. There is an A/C unit in the bedroom with a heating option and a fireplace in the kitchen/living area.

The story of Quinta Falcões Do Sol begins with a love for travel. In 2017 I did a motorcycle adventure through Southern Europe and then finally Madeira. Here I found a place that I had visioned. For 3 years I was restoring the houses. Today, we welcome our guests from all over the world at this very special place and see how they appreciate all the work and love that went into making this place into what it is Welcome to Quinta Falcões Do Sol.
