I stayed at Lindsay place on a solo business trip to Hong Kong , hotels are tough on longer trips. Her apartment was beautiful and was such a wonderful feeling to feel like you have a home base when traveling on an extended business trip. Lindsay was a great host: greeted me when I arrived and showed around the apartment. The location is in a real cool part of town. Lots of funky restaurants and Indy shops and a cool art hang out one block away PMK all others including grocery store and MTR all in walking distance. The place is beautiful and a great size for 2 people.
I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again.
Thanks to Lindsay!
This flat is exactly as advertised and is quite possibly the most ideal flat one could hope for in Central. Extremely clean, well equipped and highly functional, it is in a very convenient location, and despite being directly on Aberdeen, my wife and I could not hear any noise. By HK standards, the bathroom and shower are huge, and the flat is airy and bright. We only stayed 3 nights in the flat, but a longer stay would be very comfortable, made more so by the rarity of a true queen-sized bed. In fact, we tried to book the flat for a 6 night stay 2 weeks beforehand, but it was not available, and we ended up booking an equally remarkable flat a few blocks away (separate review provided). During the earlier stay, Lindsay willingly met us to show us her place (which we had booked for our return to HK after an intervening week in mainland China), and seeing the place in advance of actually staying there gave us peace of mind about what we would be returning to on the final leg of our trip. Lindsey was personable and welcoming when we met her, and her cleaning lady who let us in upon our actual arrival was friendly and completely fluent in English. Be assured that what lies within is a total and welcoming contrast to the tiny entrance gate and narrow (and not especially clean) but completely secure common stairwell. Checking out was a breeze, when Lindsey returned and helped us get our luggage into a cab, no small feat given the required descent down 2 full flights of stairs onto a very narrow sidewalk and street. But that's HK Central, and Lindsey's flat is truly a gem in the heart of it all. We would most certainly stay here again if we returned to HK, and give the flat an enthusiastic and very positive endorsement of quality and comfort.
We stayed a week in Lindsay's apartment at the end of April 2014. Although Lindsay was not there, she made sure the whole process of checking in- and out went very smoothly.
She provided us with all the information upfront and kept a great communication going during the week to make sure everything was all right. Very helpful, thank you!
The apartment is just how it looks in the pictures. Very cosy, modern, clean, amazing location. The flat is very centrally located in a great neighbourhood with lots of cafes, restaurants and small boutique shops and in walking distance from MTR's Sheung Wan and Central. We highly recommend Lindsay's apartment, we would definitely stay there again!
I would highly recommend this flat. It's in a very quaint location in Central! Lots of small cafes and shops around the area. Interesting blend of old and new and if you are new to Hong Kong, you will get a good sense of what it is like to live here. There is a wet market close by which I am sure will be a great experience for tourists. For those of you who have been to San Francisco, the location kind of reminds me of it. Hilly, quaint streets with lots of old shophouses with skyscrapers in the background.
I found out that the nearest MTR station is Sheung Wan, which is about a 10 min walk from the flat. It's really not bad because everything else is literally a stone's throw away. Taxis are also relatively easy to flag and so cheap, starting fare is HK$22 (roughly US$2.80)
The flat is exactly as pictured, very cosy and spacious especially by Hong Kong standards. I have friends from Hong Kong who live in tiny "shoebox" spaces so I know what I am talking about here. The kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of spices, coffee, tea and all you need if you intend to cook a meal. I liked that Lindsay has a water filter jug in her fridge so that saved me from lugging bottled water to the apartment after a day out walking HK streets!
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Lindsay's flat. Just one thing - the flat is in a building without an elevator so its not for you if you mind climbing a bunch of stairs with a huge suitcase in tow. But if you can get past this one thing, everything else in this flat is perfect for a couple or a single traveler who is looking for a modern place to stay in a quaint neighborhood!
Highly recommend this lovely little apartment. It's right in the heart of a great neighborhood with boutiques, cafes and a bustling market just opposite the front door. Despite that, it's pretty quiet at night (at least for Hong Kong) - weekends you can expect a bit more late night chatter here and there. The apartment is just like the photos, compact and functional. We would definitely return. Oh, and we enjoyed the fact we could walk just about everywhere and when we did need a cab there was always one within a minute or two on the street.
Fantastic location for exploring Sheung Wan and Central by foot. By HK standards a spacious studio that comes with a knowledgeable and helpful host! Perfect. What more could you want?
Lindsay's apartment is in a great, vibrant and fun location and was clean with all amenities provided. Exactly as advertised. Lindsay was a pleasure to communicate with and I certainly recommend this apartment and Lindsay as a host.

About the Host, Lindsay
I'm a Canadian, currently based in Hong Kong, and have previously called London, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Toronto home. My favourite part of traveling is exploring interesting neighbourhoods and getting to know the hidden gems of a destination.
