Miyuki is absolutely an amazing host! She is so warm-hearted and passionate. She prepared delicious breakfast for us and it was purely enjoyable chatting with her about everything. Her place is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood is peaceful and gives us a taste of a traditional Japanese style. We wish to stay at her place again. I sincerely recommend you this place!
We have five people stayed for 6 nights in this place. It is the best part of our trip in Osaka. The house is clean and tidy. And it is near subway station. We have to thank Miyuki’s help during our stay in Osaka. She gave us advice and direction of the good places to go. She also bought us lots of snacks which my daughter really loved to eat. We have wonderful time there and enjoy it very much. This accommodation is excellent. I strongly recommend this place.
We really enjoyed the whole experience of staying in Miyuki's house, the welcome was as warm as the quilted duvets and super comfortable futons in the upstairs bedroom.
Staying in a hotel is fine, functional and serves its purpose well. However, a homestay is an altogether experience, one that Miyuki provides very well. Her wealth of knowledge of the local area (transportation, restaurants, local sights, even down to where the best local jazz club was :-)) is expansive and is given to her guests in a friendly and informal manner. Miyuki also has local maps on hand and provides photocopies for her guests.
The accommodation itself is acceptable and the breakfast provided was just right. The location offers something new, an experience of 'real' suburban japan and the charm of a local high street and community that remains separate from mainstream tourism; for us its was just what we were looking for.
Thanks for a great time and the personal touch Miyuki, it made our holiday :-)
Although the three of us stayed at Muyiki's house for just 2 nights, it felt like we were staying with a good friend as she made us feel very welcome in her home. From the heaters and extra blankets for the cold nights, to the breakfast and helpful directions and suggestions she provided, she made our stay in Osaka a really fruitful and enjoyable one! The best part was staying up late chatting with her and learning more about Japan, their culture and her interesting experiences travelling and working around the world. Thanks for sharing your home with us Miyuki, we hope to see you again real soon! (:
There were five of us travelling in the group, myself and my husband, our two kids aged 11 and 13, and my dad, aged 76. Upon arrival and entering the place, we felt the first sense of homeliness - the Osaka way. Though the place was small, but the overwhelming mood and traditional living (the Japanese way) supersedes all over and above any negatives, if there are any. Ms Toyoshima made it a point to prepare breakfast for us every morning, which is truly a plus point there. Having freshly cooked breakfast - and freshly brewed coffee truly defeats the other BnBs that we have ever lived in, everywhere in the world. We ate together at the same table as a family, and this, in itself, is where the feeling of being at home came in. The room is clean and comfortable, and the heating system worked perfectly. The neighbourhood has all the amenities, there is a row of stalls at the market which is within a 3 minute walk from the house. The neighbourhood is very quiet, serenity fills the air. I could go on and on about this place, but I'll just cut it short by saying this : one just has to try out this place to know the feeling of staying in a Japanese-style home. I am, for one, a person who dows not like going back to the same place to stay, because there is so much to see out there, so why 'repeat the accomodation' ? However, if I am ever going back to Osaka again, I will DEFINITELY STAY IN THIS HOUSE AGAIN. By Michelle .
Miyuki gave us a very warm welcome upon our arrival, despite her busy schedule. She was more of a friend than just a host. She gave a lot of suggestions and helped us plan our trip in Osaka very well. Though we usually arrive home late, Miyuki was very accommodating. Her place was very cosy and sleeping on the futon was very confortable. Her home was also very accessible and it's location near the market area was a plus point. We had an easy walk to the post office to deliver home our things. Her neighbours were also very friendly, which was very nice. Love the food places she recommended! Overall, a very good place with great neighborhood and a wonderful host! We love having talks with Miyuki during breakfast or at night. Thanks Miyuki! We'll come again!
