We had been travelling for a month and had many brilliant experiences staying in riads. Unfortunately this will be the first poor experience we had. It was lucky we had been in Marrakech a few days previous else we would have been completely stuck. We sent several messages requesting directions but was told to telephone the house keeper. The house keeper didn't respond. Eventually we manages to find the place- it is called something different on the door, as a local boy helped us. When we arrived the guy- eventually appeared and ignored us. Eventually he gave keys and then went again. Unlike other hosts, he didn't show us around or give any information on the local area. Other hosts have been fantastic and spent time showing maps, recommendations of where to eat etc. The room smelt, was damp, very old sheets and a small hand towel. In the night we woke to find the bathrooms covered in beetles. The breakfast was bread. We have stated in 29 different riads over the month and most riads provide beautiful homemade yoghurt or fruit- extremely cheap and plentiful in morocco.
I want to answer to your comments as this has been the first time since more than 10 years, that we receive such feedback.
The name of the Riad doesn't appear on airbnb website, as they hide the address until the guest's confirmation. As soon as I received your booking, I sent you back a message with : the exact name,(the same on the door!), the address & all the phone numbers.
I was connected in live to send you directions if necessary .I was told by you that you find the Riad by yourself ! Otherwise I would send you a map, as I have NO interest to lose my guests!
The reason the housekeeper didn’t answer to your call , was because he was on his motorcycle and didn’t hear !
Regarding the team and specially the housekeeper, they have been there for years & years, they are very professional and I’m proud because they regularly win “staff” awards from international companies. I still trust them !
The breakfast is home-made by Aicha each day, with fresh coffee or tea, bread cooked by herself, home-made marmelade, fresh fruits and fresh orange juice. And additional items on request.
This is a beautiful and peaceful riad very close to the main square. The housekeepers were very sweet and helpful and even got up early to serve us breakfast at sunrise on the roof.
Our stay at Charlotte's Riad was very positive. She was very responsive throughout the booking process. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the place is unique, charming, and a good value. Youseff was very helpful in orienting us the first day. I very much enjoyed the traditional breakfasts and interacting with the other guests. A few things to note: there are very well decorated and traditional en-suite bathrooms, but there aren't doors between the bathrooms and the bedrooms, so if this makes you squeamish take note. And I think this is mentioned in the listing, but there is only air conditioning in the upstairs rooms. It gets quite cool at night, so it's not uncomfortable for sleeping, but if you plan to nap in the afternoons when the weather will be warm, etc., you may want to request an upstairs room. Overall, beautiful place, easy walk to the main square, very positive experience with Charlotte!
Charlotte was away during our 2 night stay but the housekeeper Youssef took care of us wonderfully. He even met us as we arrive at 12am to bring us to the Riad and then took us to the main square to find something to eat. The room was lovely and the Riad was very centrally located. It was a quiet haven amongst the Souks.

I live most of the time in Lyon in France. I am a big fan of the "old Lyon" neighborhood.
I love traveling, specially in Marrakech in the nice and relaxing Riad of my family. Our staff is amazing and welcome our guests very carefully when we are away.
Always happy to provide visitors with recommendations and advice ;)
