Stay in this bright, private apartment (with kitchenette) in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood near downtown Charlottesville and the University. Light and airy with skylights and hardwood floors. Recently updated and comfortably furnished, but uncluttered. The full-sized bed has an Ikea Favang mattress. Free Wi-fi. The apartment is near the bus line (bus stop a block away). Head out for dinner on the distinctly Southern Downtown Mall ... it's a walk away or a 3 minute drive. Parking is available on the street in front of the house.
This apartment has its own entrance, so you're assured of your privacy. It has a kitchenette with everything you need for eating in: 1 burner stove, toaster oven, coffee maker, refrigerator and dishwasher. You also have your own washer/ dryer. There is central ac, a dresser and plenty of closet space, too. There is also a window air conditioning unit in the bedroom.
Enjoy the back patio for eating al fresco, or enjoy your morning coffee on the private leafy porch off your apartment. In summertime, help yourself to fresh herbs from the garden (basil, rosemary, oregano, cilantro, dill).
Fresh 100% cotton bed and bath linens, of course. Coffee and half & half (or soy creamer) for when you get up in the morning. This is a very clean, smoke- free apartment that's close to everything, adorable, and affordable!
This is a safe, family-centered neighborhood, with people out on porches, jogging, walking dogs or pushing strollers. The houses are all different in size and style, with mature landscaping, but it's also close enough to the action (downtown).
Bus stop is one block away.
Other Things to Note
There is a three day minimum for Graduation Weekend and Memorial Day Weekend.
I ask that guests take shoes of while in the apt, since I live downstairs. Feel free to pet the dogs in the yard, but please don't invite them in, as they may not want to leave! No smoking.
Clean, Bright, and parking was easy to find along the street. Good location so everything was 20 minutes or less away.
It was nice that there was a window AC unit in the bedroom even though the central AC was usually enough.
Host was great at communication and very hospitable.
Elizabeth was fantastic! She made it very easy for us to come and go. Her dogs were extremely friendly whenever they were out in the backyard. The natural sunlight of the space was amazing! We would definitely stay with her again!
Loved staying a Beth's place for just a quick stop in Charlottesville after a yoga retreat and it was a wonderful place to stay! The lighting in the apartment is spectacular - tons of sunlight - and even though it was super hot that weekend the air and extra AC unit in the apartment made the temps very nice. Bathroom was awesome - very spacious - a great shower! The kitchen area was perfect for a trip to whole foods and eating in during my stay - much appreciated after a couple weeks of traveling and too much eating out! Beth was very hospitable and even had coffee and laundry detergent available! Highly recommend!
The apartment was comfortable, clean, and convenient to where we needed to be. Elizabeth was welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Beth was very welcoming. The backyard was enchanting. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning with my coffee. The shower was very hot with great water pressure. Very nice place.
Very pleasant place to stay. My wife and I were in town for the weekend for a wedding and this was perfect.
This place was perfect and super cute for what we needed. We planned on being out and about from early morning til late at night exploring what Charlottesville had to offer and just needed a place close by to stay. It was about a 20 minute walk from here to the downtown mall (5 minute drive) through a nice, safe neighborhood, 10 minute drive to the Monticello. Beth was very nice and met us when we arrived, left half and half in the fridge for our morning coffee. Overall, it was a great experience for our second stay on airbnb.com
