Stay in this bright, private apartment (with kitchenette) in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood near downtown Charlottesville and the University. Light and airy with skylights and hardwood floors. Recently updated and comfortably furnished, but uncluttered. New Ikea Favang mattress as of Nov. 2013. Free Wi-fi. Perfect for both short visits to town, as well as longer stays for people doing a hospital rotation or with longer-term business at the University. The apartment is near the bus line (bus stop a block away), so getting to University grounds or the hospital is easy. Head out for dinner on the distinctly Southern Downtown Mall ... it's a walk away or a 3 minute drive. Parking is available in front of the house and on the street.
This apartment has its own entrance, so you're assured of your privacy. It has a kitchenette with everything you need for eating in - 2 burner stove, toaster oven, coffee maker, refrigerator and dishwasher. You also have your own washer/ drier. Central air and plenty of closet space, too. There is also a window air conditioning unit in the bedroom.
Enjoy the back patio for eating al fresco, or enjoy your morning coffee on the private leafy porch off your apartment. In summertime, help yourself to fresh herbs from the garden (basil, rosemary, oregano, cilantro, dill).
Fresh 100% cotton bed and bath linens, of course. Coffee and half & half (or soy creamer) for when you get up in the morning. This is a very clean, smoke- free apartment that's close to everything.
Bus stop is one block away.

The apartment was lovely and our host was helpful. It was comfortable and in a nice location. We really liked our stay!
The apartment is a great little nook to rest & refresh. We felt like we were in our own secret tree house. It's artistically decorated, very clean and the shower is so cool. The back yard and our deck were very relaxing, great for a little bit of computer work. The wifi was always working well(which historically on our other travels can be an issue), and we used it frequently. The location is convenient to downtown, which we frequented for meals in our way too short two night visit. There's a small kitchen with everything necessary, great for your morning coffee and snacks. Elizabeth was always available and easy to communicate with. And understanding of our last minute changing arrival times. She was kind to ask if we'd like soy or regular creamer for our coffee, which she also provided, awesome!! The dogs are a very sweet and friendly bonus.
Super clean apt within walking distance of downtown (about 15-20 minute walk). Beth was easy to communicate with....she took extra care to make sure we were comfortable. Don't miss the farmer's market in downtown C'ville on Saturday morning in the summer....lots of awesome food!
Beth's little apartment was beautiful and comfy. We very much enjoyed our stay. The best part was the two little dogs that kept us company while we relaxed on the porch. We highly recommend this place!

Had a nice stay! Thanks!
Elizabeth is a super host, very communicative in advance and it was easy to locate her place and make my way with her instructions. The suite is charming and actually kind of light and airy feeling. Her backyard is beautiful, and there's a nice view of it from the Airbnb space. The historic street in Charlottesville with a walking mall was just a very short drive away. I would happily stay there again.
Studio was as pictured - and great backyard. Great neighborhood and location - just remember that you are in a residental neighborhood (dogs, lawn care noise, etc). Elizabeth was easy to get a hold of and communicative throughout the reservation process and during my stay when I needed something.
Searching for what I can add that hasn't already been covered in previous reviews... private - check, clean - check, comfortable - check, lots of natural light - check, great host - check.... I really liked that while the apt is close/convenient to everything, it's on a nice quiet street in a good neighborhood and there is plenty of on street parking. If your looking for a nice place to stay at a very reason cost, you've found it.
I stayed at Elizabeth's place while waiting for a sublet to become available, and it was a great place to base myself out of for a few days. Easy access to 250, 29, and downtown, and the apartment itself is very well lit and in a quiet neighborhood. Elizabeth was easy to contact and work with and I would recommend her place to anyone.
