Our comfortable safari tents are situated in the largest fresh water tidal area in Europe and is close to Dordrecht, the oldest city of Holland. Enjoy sleeping under canvas on quality beds in the exiting wilderness of Biesbosch National Park.
The family tents with two bedrooms are suitable for 3 or 4 persons. The stylish and high quality safari tents are placed on wooden floors and all have their own patio with a lot of privacy. The seating area comes with wooden furniture, electricity and a fridge and water heater. A private toilet in the tent and a mobile kitchenette can be rented. Outside coocking at your private terrace or at one of the picknick tables in the green is enjoyable, alternatively you may opt for the breakfast and dining facilities of the restaurant next door (150 m.)
At the premises you'll find a clean sanitary block equipped with hot water, showers and lavatories. There is a playground for children. You may use the facillities of the hotel nearby the glamping site, which has a buffet-restaurant, bar and lounge area with games (darts, pool) and free wifi.
Interaction with Guests
You will defenitely meet Wouter and/or Jes at the premises. When they are not around, the reception desk of the neighbouring hotel can probably help you out. Wouter and Jes both love to kajak through the small creeks of the Biesbosch. Let them know if you are interested in kajakking, they can help you to plan a trip. Or you may want to join them in a guided beaver discovery tour through the small creeks opposite the glamp site ...
There are many opportunities to discover the Biesbosch wilderness by foot, by boat or by bike. Canoes, electric boats and bikes can be rented on the spot. Near by (10 minutes walking) you can relax and swim in a naturural lake. For those who like to play golf, on walking distance you'll have the opportunity to play at the 18 Holes Crayestein Golf course.
The glamping site is close (4 km) to the ancient city of Dordrecht, the oldest city of Holland with its rich historical and cultural tradition. Walking alongside the canals, the old houses and the musea is an inspiring journey through the history of Holland.
From the glamping site you can take the waterbus to the historical centre of Dordrecht, which takes about ten minutes, or continue with the fast ferry boat to Rotterdam (45 minutes). From Dordrecht train station intercity trains will bring you within an hour to the cities of Rotterdam, Antwerp, Breda, Delft, Leiden, Haarlem, Gouda, Utrecht and Amsterdam. Starting at only 30 km you can enjoy the endless sandy beaches of the Dutch coast.

About the Host, Wouter And Jes
Your hosts are Wouter and Jes, both living in the old city of Dordrecht. Wouter is a sociologist who has worked for many years in (mental) health research and management, Jes is co-foundor and owner of a high class interior shop in Dordrecht. They both get inspired by beautiful places, and love to share the 'wow!' feeling with others who are less familiar with these places. Wouter and Jes are happy to welcome you at Biesbosch Glamping, where you can experience the beautiful nature of the spectacular Biesbosch Wetlands.
