We are only 3 minutes walk from the sea and 15-20 minutes walk from Malahide village. Malahide has a large number of great restaurants to suit all tastes and has a number of great traditional Irish pubs also.
You can reach us by taking the 102 Bus from Dublin Airport (website hidden)
Malahide Village is a 15-20 minute walk away (along the beach) and is serviced by regular trains and buses to the city center. A return train ticket to city centre costs around €5 and the journey time is approximately 20 minutes.
My mum and me had a fantastic stay in Malahide. Ruth and Killian are lovely people and we had nice chats over breakfast. Although the actual room and wardrobe was a bit small for two people with big bags (but typical size for an Irish house) it was no problem as both of them let us use the whole apartment including the kitchen and sitting room anytime. The house is very cosy and the Location couldn´t be better, 5 min from the beach and 15 min from Malahide itself. I definitely would stay again.
Good neighbourhood, very friendly hosts and in the neighbourhood generally.
A wonderful stay with Ruth and Kilian. The bed is extremely comfortable. Malahide is a great township. From Malahide it is only a short train or bus ride to get to Dublin city. Ruth and Killian are always willing to give advice on things you should around Ireland. 5 out of 5!
We loved staying in Ruth's house. It is a lovely place, a bit far from city center, but if you want to relax and go to the beach (which is beautiful), it is a great place to stay.
We didn't see Ruth and Killian that much, but when we did, they were absolutely great, they gave us advice on what to do and how to go to city center, even her family helped us when we arrived.
The room is cosy, and the whole house is charming, but as I said, it is a bit far from everything, we enjoyed walking by the shore to get to the train station, so we had a good time there.
I highly recommend Ruth's place, you will have a quiet and relaxing stay there.
The host picked us up at the train station. Their accommodations were very modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pleasant. They are only a few blocks from the beach, where there were swimmers on a warm afternoon. We explored Malahide Castle, then took a bus to Dublin that evening. Another day, we went to a fishing town, Howth. Great restaurants, but if you like to shop, the shopping is sparse.
Great stay really close to great walks on beach and great views really nice comfortable bed and lovely (website hidden) food was provided and all amenities you could want
Ruth and Killian were wonderful hosts! This was my first experience with airbnb and it could not have gone better. As they say, the warmth of the Irish! The coastal town was lovely and the train made day trips easy. Absolutely recommend the hosts, their home AND the location.
