  • Clara is a true HKer and she'll make feel you like a part of her family . Room is comfortable (though the curtains are a bit too thin for me and woke me up early). Kowloon Tong may seem a bit out of the way but you're in Hong Kong, and never too far from anything or any mode of transportation.

My first advice is buy yourself an Octopus card on arrival in HK or borrow one from one of your HK friends before you arrive (I ended up catching the Airport Express to Central, and there I bought my Octopus card).

If you catch the bus to Clara's place directly you won't see the harbour and all the Central skyline, in case it's your first time in HK - even though it is truly cheap. Anyway, I love HK.

  • Clara is the person you can not forget, everytime I will think about Hong Kong, Clara will be a part of it! She is so helpfull and charming.
I think my experience was very nice only with the help of Clara.

  • Clara and her family including the two dogs are awesome hosts. The Wong family goes above the call as hosts to ensure your stay is pleasant and enjoyable. The place is as advertised. The room is cozy but the home is spacious and warm. Great restaurants and shopping are a short distance away. The home is situated in a very quiet residential neighborhood; there aren’t clusters of tall buildings or massive amount of people walking around. So if you’re a single traveler that wants to experience the heart of the city and be able to unwind after a day of shopping or sightseeing then the Wong family’s home is highly recommended.

  • My stay with the Wong family was just great! You have a cozy and clean room. With this open minded family you always have someone to talk to, or be it that you just need help finding your way through Hong Kong. Clara is always there.
But you also can count on privacy or just some quiet when you just want to recharge your batteries.
If you want you can make new friends, like I did.

I agree best host of the year!

  • Clara is a very kind and warm person. To stay with her and her family is a great experience, because you will be there like a family member. The room is small, but very comfortable and clean. Clara is a always welcoming and accommodating host. I would definitely book with her again.

  • Lovely family and a lovely lady. Very welcoming and very caring, always willing to lend a hand and accept you as part of the family. The dogs are lovely and the room is cosy but adequate and homely. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and would be more than happy to stay again :)

  • tiny little room. but a nice family to share time with. if you want to be taken very much care of, this is definitively the right place to stay. very nice sharing breakfast with the family. dogs are part of the family and just bark when they see other dogs outside, from the balcony. with clara you can experience what a resident of high standard lives: go to clubs, to a nearby swimming pool and sauna and not unexpensive restaurants, but a side of hong kong!
