We are on the Dingle Peninsula 2 miles from the sea, on the Wild Atlantic Way, between the Sliabh Mish and Strabally Mountain ranges. The locality is ideal for walking, cycling enthusiasts and those interested in Archaeology. It is also suitable for those who would like a more authentic experience of life in the area being comfortably removed from the more commercial tourism centres whilst still providing good access to the unquestionable attractions that the Dingle peninsula offers. You can relax in the peace and quiet of the valley surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle! If that's what you would like on your holiday! You can make our home your base for your tours around the Dingle Peninsula and around the county !!

We are located near Camp Village with a choice of 4 pubs, 2 restaurants, a Supermarket/cafe and 2 churches. Traditional Music sessions in the pubs at weekends and if you are a musician yourself you can join in ! Meet the locals too in a friendly environment and have a pint of whatever you fancy in a real nice country setting, with spectacular views of mountain and sea. Water Sports and activities available in the area, Castlegregory and the Maharees is 15 minutes down the road and Mount Brandon second highest in Ireland is 25 minutes away ! We can help you with advice on the area and things to do !

Our Family have run the farm here for generations. And you can wander around the farm and up the hillside and enjoy a leisurely walk or a mountain hike! Only the sheep for company!!

We can offer advice and provide advice on some good walking/hiking routes in the area as well as general advice on the region.

Getting Here
We are approximately 5 minutes from the village of Camp. Travelling from Tralee, Take the N86 National Secondary road to Dingle through the village of Camp. You will drive past lower Camp, The Junction Bar and Railway Tavern and at the fork of the road take the road signposted Camp and Annascaul (not the Castlegregory, Conor Pass road) drive up to Camp village past Ashes and Dalys Pubs and travel on for about 10 minutes, then take the road on the right, L8015 and signposted Foilatrisnigh and Seaside Caravan Park into the valley, then continue past the yellow L roadsign past a very sharp turn and then on the left there is a road where Gleann na nGealt Sheepfarm is signposted. Drive in that road and the first house on the right is our house with signpost Brigids Sheepfarm at the entrance.

We provide free car parking for your car.
Just a little more information about Archaeological Sites in the area.

The Dingle peninsula is rich in Archaeological site locations.

There are 35 known sites registered with the Archaeological Survey of Ireland in the valley of Gleann Na nGealt alone.
Historic Tobar na nGealt is located here in the valley.

We have a number of Archaeological sites on the Farm these include 2 Ringforts, a Souterrain and a Gallaun or standing stone.

These sites were protected by the respect and esteem our ancestors held for the past and superstitious belief associated with bad luck resulting from interference with the properties of the Fairies or Little people as they were sometimes called.

If you need further information/ directions on how to get here we can do so in the booking confirmation email, should you decide to stay with us.

If you are delayed travelling here, please let us know the approximate time of arrival so that we are here to let you in, also if you wish to book in earlier please let us know and we will also be glad to facilitate you, you can email or telephone us!! Telephone Numb when you arrive in Camp and I can go down the village to collect you or guide you to our house. We don't want you to get lost !! Getting around

If you have your own car, you can make out home your base, it is better for getting around the area, as we are off the beaten track and a half a mile off the Tralee Dingle bus route.
If you are a walker and you are walking the Dingle Way, you can come off the walk at different stages, i.e. Camp village and walk west to our road signposted "Foilatrisnigh" number L8015.
Alternatively, don't hesitate to telephone me from Camp village or wherever you get off the walk, my telephone number is . I will be happy to drive down to the village and pick you up, you may be tired at this point ! so just keep in touch and all will work out ! Sometimes people like to eat a meal at a local restaurant at this point, again let me know and call me when you are ready and I'll pick you up after you have finished your meal. People also like to sample local brews too, like Guinness etc. there is no hurry, your holiday is about experiencing the culture and foods of the locality.
And I will drop you to the start of the walk the next morning so you can continue on your way.
Park up your car at our house and explore some trails and walks or hiking around the area, the area is indeed a walkers paradise, no wild animals to fear, only a hare or fox or sheep to meet on your way. You can join in Horse Trekking too across the hills or on the beach, a very nice experience and in touch with nature too. There are many ways to see the countryside here, walking, hiking, horse trekking, cycling, driving, the world is your oyster !!

As we are based in the rural countryside if it is dark, it is probably harder to find us. The two local restaurants in Camp take last orders around 8.00 p.m. just in case you need to eat on arrival. The food is delicious and very good value.
I will be happy to drive down to meet you at the village of Camp if you get lost, telephone me, or email !

As we are a country farmhouse, the place is maybe not as perfect as some of the modern B/B accommodation and hotels, you could find a pair of wellington boot in the hallway or a sheep peeping in through the window ! We do our best to provide every comfort for you and we hope you are happy with us too !
So we hope you enjoy your stay, our aim is to make it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible !
Again we welcome you if you choose our accommodation !

We enjoyed exploring the farm, getting to see the ancient sites in the near vicinity and meeting the sheep. Brigids sheep farm gave us the most unique experience of our trip to Ireland, away from the busy crowds. We enjoyed the absolutely best wifi of our trip after one and a half weeks in Ireland. (Turns out Brigid really worked to get good wifi for her guests) Brigid is quite well informed and her suggestions were real gems. We really enjoyed her company and hope to return for great walks among the sheep and up into the mountain.

We will never be thankful enough towards Brigid and Liam for having contributed to close our road trip in Ireland in such a pleasant way! Brigid and Liam were very helpful and sharing hosts, with whom we enjoyed knowing more about Ireland, its cultures and languages, farming and the country side. We could take a walk to meet their sheeps and the impressive but gentle Pedro! Comfortable bed and generous breakfast with a filling banana bread, I would recommend this place to any walker or road tripper in the area of the Dingle way!

Very quiet and secluded, with beautiful landscapes all round. Brigid took very good care of us, and even picked us up in Camp and Castlegregory when our feet couldn't walk longer (we were hiking, no car). She is a dedicated, organic sheepfarmer, running her family farm in a very good way. We got to learn a lot about sheepkeeping too, as a bonus! And, Ashe's Bar in Upper Camp is close by - the best pub we've ever been to!

We live on a hill sheepfarm in a lovely peaceful valley in the Dingle peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way overlooking Tralee and Brandon Bay close to miles of sandy safe beaches. Our family have lived and worked this land for generation. We have mountains, Caherconree and Brandon to climb and Slí Corca Dhuibhne, The Dingle Way Walking trail and Glanteenassig Forest Park closeby and a short drive across the Famous Conor Pass takes you into Dingle town and Slea Head drive and Gaeltacht Corca Dhuibhne and come back by Annascaul, home to Tom Crean Antarctic explorer. Killarney is 40 minutes drive and Tralee 20 minutes from our home. Camp, our local friendly village has quaint country pubs, supermarket/café and great restaurants where you can meet the locals ! We enjoy meeting new people, be delighted to have you !
