You'll love this unique and romantic escape. Surrounded by nature yet walking distance to major shops and the quirky town of Saint-Ambroix, which is located at the foot of the Cevennes national park and not far from the Ardèche.
The boutique chateau is located in a walled-in park of magnificent old trees, with a pool and other outdoor activities included. The chateau also sports its own access to the river Cèze for a refreshing swim or relaxing rest at our private beach.

This charming and sophisticated holiday home, nestled in a very large private park in the Gard region, invites you to experience the magic of times gone by. The light-flooded rooms, combined with classic accents, create an ambience of timeless beauty. Enjoy a good night's sleep in the opulent suites and come together in the morning for breakfast in the communal areas. The second floor is not accessible during the cold months as it is not heated. During the warm months, the Château can house up to 15 guests, during colder months we limit occupation to 9.
Enjoy relaxing hours in the spacious oasis of the modern indoor/outdoor pool or on the classic boules court in the shade of centuries-old trees. A place of peace and elegance, ideal for a break from everyday life. Stroll through the tranquil relaxation areas of the park and gather in the spacious orangery in the evening. Discover a peaceful bamboo forest and, beyond the walls, explore the estate which slopes gently down to the River Cèze. The river offers opportunities for swimming and relaxing on a private beach.
The surrounding area of Saint-Ambroix offers you a rich cultural and natural heritage. Explore the picturesque village of Barjac or visit the historic town of Uzès, just a short drive away. For active holidaymakers, a hike through the surrounding forests or the Cévennes, a Kayak adventure on the river Cèze or a stroll through the streets of Saint-Ambroix is ideal. Can comfortably fit up to 15 people during the warmer months and 9 people in winter.
The first floor has been renovated recently into luxurious suites with en-suite bathrooms. The second floor, while more standard than the first floor and only accessible during the warmer months, provides comfortable rooms and great views. The house further has a ground floor room with en suite bathroom and with access to the wash machine and tumbler.

Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate in 2025; guests can rent them at the property for an additional charge of EUR 15.00 per person. Consumption costs are included in the room rate. Up to two pets are allowed. Outdoor private pool on site is open April - end October (weather permitting). We provide a starter kit of amenities upon arrival. Our home is unfortunately not suitable for people with certain disabilities as it is a historic property with stairs and no elevator, though we do have an ensuite on the ground floor (the house has a few steps to enter).

The pricing, including the cleaning fee, is indicative and will depend on the actual period of your stay.
The Chateau has 7 rooms with space for 15 guests during the warmer months. Four of the rooms are closed during the cold months which means that we can still comfortably host 7 guests. Likewise, the pool is closed during the cold months and opened between April and end of October (weather permitting). Please reach out for further information.
