Casa Brunello di Montalcino is located in a 17th century building with some nice original pieces. From the 30 square meter roof terrace you can soak in one of the best views of the town and the spectacular Crete Senesi as well as the UNESCO-protected Val d'Orcia. The 200 square meter apartment over two floors has three large bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space, two large bathrooms, and comes with a fully-equipped designer kitchen. There are smart TVs in all bedrooms and a living room with a fireplace, a large TV, and comfortable recliner sofas. The apartment is equipped with an advanced system for year-round humidity and temperature control and uses a floor-based system for heating and cooling. There are buses that connect with trains in Buonconvento, which can be used to get to Rome, Grosseto, Pisa, Siena, or Florence.
Most guests arrive by rental car - it takes 90 minutes from Florence, just over 120 minutes from Pisa, and 140-145 minutes from Rome Fiumicino airport.
A parking permit for one car comes with the apartment and can be used in designated nearby areas. Luggage offload is possible directly outside the apartment.
Other Things to Note
Visit any of the 250+ local wineries plus wine bars to taste the famous Brunello di Montalcino wine. Enjoy some great Tuscan food and wine in the town's many restaurants. Walk through the charming medieval hilltop town and visit its many nice shops, selling local produce like wine, meat products, and honey as well as artisan products, and try locally made ice cream from the gelaterias. Enjoy the wonderful views of the famous south Tuscan countryside from the 16th century fortress and step inside a local museum or church for some traditional culture. Or just have a coffee or glass of wine in Piazza del Popolo to watch life pass by. Other Tuscan gems like Chianti, San Gimignano, and Florence are 70-90 minutes away.
I will share my detailed 12-page guide to the area and to Tuscany to confirmed guests. The local apartment manager can help with concierge services like finding a private chef.
I expect my guest to behave like at home and how they expect others to use their property if they had made it available for rental. More detailed house rules will be sent to confirmed guests.

The six of us have spent a glorious week in your fabulous apartment! The warm decor, plus the extensively equipped kitchen were both a delight. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the large, welcoming bedrooms were quiet and peaceful. The two bright, spacious bathrooms with the wonderful showers easily accommodated our group. Of course, the highlight was the fantastic view from the terrace!
The central, convent location of the apartment made it easy to explore the lovely town of Montalcino. Your directions and suggestions were extremely useful and helped us navigate and enjoy the surrounding area and attractions.
We will long remember the peace and comfort we experienced with family in lovely Montalcino. We spent many hours in your apartment enjoying the sun, the scenery, the comfort and the company.
I'm a well-traveled, well-educated, wine-loving European with a Norwegian passport, with more than 19 years of telecom industry experience. After a University of Chicago MBA I have further nourished my curiosity by living in the diverse, different but wonderful cities of Amsterdam and Belgrade, as well as in my home town Oslo. I have the experience of owning or renting apartments in all these countries, triggering an appreciation of good quality and design. As a serious wine-lover and in love with the history, food, culture, and nature of Tuscany since my first visit in 2000, the choice of Montalcino was easy. The number one reason for ending up in Montalcino is the wonderful Brunello wine, and after a complete two-year apartment renovation job since 2011 I have realized my old dream of having a local wine cellar (unfortunately, access to the wine cellar is not available as part of rentals; I can just help you with advice on where to get the best deals and advice on sampling and buying wine). After more than 20 visits to Montalcino in less than the two years it took to complete the renovation plus a decade of previous visits, I am now enjoying the company of and invaluable help from some nice local friends in Montalcino, gradually increasing my appreciation and understanding of the fascinating Italian culture. Both I and my very well-connected local network of friends are aware of the needs of quality-conscious international travelers.
