I will share my detailed 12-page guide to the area and to Tuscany to confirmed guests. The local apartment manager can help with concierge services like finding a private chef.
I expect my guest to behave like at home and how they expect others to use their property if they had made it available for rental. More detailed house rules will be sent to confirmed guests.
The six of us have spent a glorious week in your fabulous apartment! The warm decor, plus the extensively equipped kitchen were both a delight. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the large, welcoming bedrooms were quiet and peaceful. The two bright, spacious bathrooms with the wonderful showers easily accommodated our group. Of course, the highlight was the fantastic view from the terrace!
The central, convent location of the apartment made it easy to explore the lovely town of Montalcino. Your directions and suggestions were extremely useful and helped us navigate and enjoy the surrounding area and attractions.
We will long remember the peace and comfort we experienced with family in lovely Montalcino. We spent many hours in your apartment enjoying the sun, the scenery, the comfort and the company.
I'm a well-traveled, well-educated, wine-loving European with a Norwegian passport, with more than 19 years of telecom industry experience. After a University of Chicago MBA I have further nourished my curiosity by living in the diverse, different but wonderful cities of Amsterdam and Belgrade, as well as in my home town Oslo. I have the experience of owning or renting apartments in all these countries, triggering an appreciation of good quality and design. As a serious wine-lover and in love with the history, food, culture, and nature of Tuscany since my first visit in 2000, the choice of Montalcino was easy. The number one reason for ending up in Montalcino is the wonderful Brunello wine, and after a complete two-year apartment renovation job since 2011 I have realized my old dream of having a local wine cellar (unfortunately, access to the wine cellar is not available as part of rentals; I can just help you with advice on where to get the best deals and advice on sampling and buying wine). After more than 20 visits to Montalcino in less than the two years it took to complete the renovation plus a decade of previous visits, I am now enjoying the company of and invaluable help from some nice local friends in Montalcino, gradually increasing my appreciation and understanding of the fascinating Italian culture. Both I and my very well-connected local network of friends are aware of the needs of quality-conscious international travelers.
