PARKING: PLEASE READ
Parking is available, but time-restricted to two hours (weekdays between 8a and 9p) in our neighborhood. If you need a car n SF there are a few options: park in a garage @$4/hour (around $30 day), move it every two hours, or we can direct you to our secret spot (a 5-10 minute walk) where you can leave it for a few days, except on the one day per week when streets are cleaned. Then enjoy the city via bus/train/trolley (all within 5 minutes) and on foot.

We want your San Francisco stay to be comfortable and memorable. We’re available to help you find your way, or suggest out-of-the-ordinary shops, restaurants, hikes/urban walks, views, city parks, neighborhoods.

Guest Access

We provide our guests with an intimate, beautiful studio environment, which includes a queen bed, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with both shower and bathtub. Note there is no television, and no laundry.

Interaction with Guests

The apartment is completely self-sufficient, with its own entrance. You may never see us after you check in, however we always welcome a hello. It is, however, a part of our home, so we ask you to respect the space and our neighbors. With thanks.

Getting around

Public parking is the best way to get around San Francisco, and we are centrally located to transit heading north/south, and east/west. Parking your car in SF is not an easy task in any neighborhood, so if you must bring a car, please understand that you will have to move it around during your stay (and we can guide you through it, see below). Parking is not provided.

  • Saundra's 'Urban Nest' was perfect for our weekend stay. The location is great, close to my favorite neighborhoods and transit to get all over the city. The place is small but very comfortable and has an easy luxury about it - ideal for one or a couple. Saundra is a great resource and added a few touches like french press coffee that made the room feel like home away from home. Highly recommend and hope to come back!

  • Saundra's great place in the Castro was an absolute sanctuary! My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved every moment of it! The self contained studio apartment is tastefully decorated and fully functional for any couple. The space is decorated very well and stocked with everything that you would need for a stay in SF. Located on a 5 minute walk from the main street in the Castro where everything is accessible. The beautifully restored street cars take you directly up Market St which through the Down town shopping district and ends at the Wharf. We will be looking to stay with Saundra again on our next visit to SF.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Saundra's Urban Nest. She provided a lot of information about the area, it was perfect for us to get to know the city. Double plus for the freshly ground coffee and delicious muffins she had for our first breakfast - she (email hidden).

  • We had a fabulous time staying at the nest! The suite was clean and cozy with everything we needed. Saundra left yogurt and fruit for us when we first arrived. The location was within walking distance of some great restaurants and public transportation. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Saundra!

  • Saundra's Urban Nest is the most lovely place the stay. Saundra is incredibly helpful and thoughtful in her care for her guests. And, it's located a quick two block walk to San Francisco's MUNI as well as several buses to very easily get around the city.

  • My wife Nava & me stayed for 4 days with Saundra. The "NEST" is perfect for a couple. It's clean, warm and provide all necessary ammonites to make your stay comfort. The location is in a quite neighborhood. Within walking distance are Haight Ashbury, lower Haight and Castro. All very nice places to visit and to enjoy nice shops and good restaurant. SF public transportation makes the access to all other interesting locations very easy. Saundra is a very nice person who gives you the right tips, help if necessary and privacy at the same time. We warmly recommend her place. Ishay

About
I'm a working artist and mother in addition to hosting travelers. I love all of my jobs and engage in them with passion and dedication. I'(email hidden), with an active social life, and welcome people into my home. My AirBNB experience has been utterly amazing, with guests expressing their gratitude for the environment, warm family atmosphere, engagement and helpfulness, and attention to detail such as breakfast, personal attention, and little luxuries. I believe I gain as much from the experience of hosting as my guests do from staying with us. Having traveled a fair amount, and stayed in pensiones and B&B's worldwide, I have a sense of what it's like to share someone's home. We are not a hotel, but a family home with lovely and comfortable accommodation and warm, engaged hosts. Welcome to our home.
