I would seriously avoid this place if you want to sleep. It is located between a busy street and EIGHT fricking railroad tracks. And the walls are paper thin. Add to that a stifling room in warm weather, no fan, tv, or even bedside lamp, and a boiling water only shower. Sam is fr…

Thanks for that Laetitia. Like any big city the size of London there is always noise and activity - the closer to the city centre the more that increases. There are around 15 million people with around 5 million public transport journeys made per day in this city - so yes London is busy and noisy. I find that it depends on what people are used to - some guests are from very rural areas or a small population of people which means that it seems noisier to them. But if you are from a big city then you can expect it to be similar. Of course I had been at the apartment to clean communal areas as I was on the day of your check-in; in order to clean and prepare the room. This is usually late morning to avoid disturbing guests as much as possible. And of course this is my apartment. I would recommend reading listing descriptions before booking anything and communicating with hosts directly with any issues at the time. Hosts are here to assist so it was disappointing that you didn’t contact me especially as I did ask you if you needed help with anything on the occasions that I saw you. You did let me know about the shower temperature which I rigorously tested - but as I confirmed with you at the time: the temperature did not fluctuate and could only have been caused by someone using another tap in the apartment. This does seem to be the case as no one else has had that issue. Of course I want guests to feel welcome but I must say that I found you very unfriendly - which is unusual for Airbnb guests. Of course we wish you well for the future.
Lots of noise. Trains are next door. Pillows are completely flat. The place was clean and easy to check in. The location was great for you are close to everything. However sleeping with so much noise and sharing a bathroom with so many can be difficult!! My kids and I were disapp…

Thanks for staying Holly. Of course we are subject to huge property prices here in London so we are offering an affordable alternative and we want guest that feel is suitable for them. Within such a central location of a big city such as London; there will be activity and noise - unfortunately this is unavoidable. We do hope that you enjoyed the city though!
This Airbnb is set up similar to a hostel. It is not a room in someone's active apartment; it is one of 3 rented rooms in an apartment with a shared kitchen and bathroom. My 2 friends and I stayed here June 2018. During our stay the other 2 rooms were also occupied. In total ther…
The place is not maintained, no towels provided, shared apartment between six people and the toilet and shower were never sanitized, the outside is some sort of dump industrial area, no trash cans provided, not even in the bathroom. The street and train noise is unbearable. In …

Thanks for staying Ana. It is very clear in the listing description that the apartment is shared and we have a very reliable cleaner that frequents the apartment every 1-2 days. As mentioned in the House Rules we expect guests to leave communal areas clean and have found this to be the case. Also my contact details (telephone number are very clearly on the instructions that I provide to guests after booking) as well as on the itinerary and guests have found it very easy to contact me (see comments). Unfortunately when located in central London (as we are) you will hear noise. There are more people and transport links in Zone 1 of a busy city like London so it isn't possible to have silence and a big city with good transport links - that is the reality of a big city. Anyone preparing to visit London (that has never been before) should understand this wherever they stay. Also there is a hiring company located outside - they rent out construction equipment - not a dumping ground. I would always advise that guests read all provided information clearly which will help them to better enjoy their stay and provide a more accurate assessment for others. Of course we wish you well!
I am an easy-going Brit who enjoys meeting all types of new people. I consider myself fortunate to have been living in London for 10 years – a historical, culturally rich and diverse place to experience - if only for a little while! I have travelled around a little of North & …
